  ZERO STARS! Never take your pet here. They will charge you thousands when nothing is actually wrong. They convinced me my puppy might die. I also have a friend who was told to put their kitten down. Good thing they did not because the cat lived a long healthy life. I wish I could put negative stars. Traumatizing experience and they scammed me out of thousands around the holidays.

  The compassion and professionalism of this establishment is second to none. I would recommend this office to anyone who cares for their pet with all their heart.

  Want to thank the staff who were on duty the night of Monday 2/2. Our 18 yr old cat had been having some issues and we knew his time had come, so I made an appointment to take him the next day to our regular vet to have him euthanized. Well early in the evening things got terribly worse and we realized he would not last the night, so we started heading out calling on the way to say we were in need of having him put down. The girl on the phone was very understanding, taking our name and some information on our cat. When we arrived our cat was taken in right away to have him prepped, then brought in to an exam room where were given some time a lone before having the doctor come in (when we said we were ready) to give him the injections. He went peacefully and we are glad we were there to his end. It isn’t easy and I have to say I’ve had pets in my life from childhood, I don’t know if there was a time when you couldn’t be there with them at the end,( all’s I remember is just bringing them in and leaving)but I think back and wish I had been there because it’s the best thing you can do for them being all the love they give to us. So thank you again for your compassion on what was not an easy night.

  Our dog Ollie was experiencing lumbar pain and we needed to get him some relief. The front desk staff was very kind and emphatic as well as the tech who took us into a room. Dr Friedlander was great! She explained what was going on, her recommendations for treatment and then was very thorough with discharge instructions. I really felt like everyone there had Ollie’s best interests at heart and cared for him as if he was their pet. If we ever need to take him or any of other pets to the ER, we will definitely be returning to AnimERge.

  (Long review!) I went to Animerge as my dog was having difficulty urinating, and from the moment we arrived, the care and attentiveness stood out. Meghan at the front desk immediately greeted both me and my dog with warmth and kindness, helping ease what was already a stressful situation. While in the lobby, my dog, likely nervous was able to urinate a few drops. At that exact moment, Dr. Valencia came out, noticed the urine, and inquisitively asked if my dog was having trouble urinating. When I said yes, he didn’t hesitate for a second. He immediately took the sample to be sent for testing. Once we were in the exam room, Dr. Valencia asked thoughtful questions, reviewed the situation, took X-rays, and quickly arrived at a diagnosis: stones. He was able to flush the stones back into my dog’s bladder but made it very clear that this was becoming an urgent matter and that I needed to see a specialist immediately. What truly stood out was that he personally called the specialist on my behalf right then and there. I’ve been to many routine veterinary appointments where that level of consideration and advocacy is not the norm. For Dr. Valencia to make that call for me, removing one more thing from my plate during a stressful moment was incredibly gracious and deeply appreciated. He carefully walked me through the X-rays, explained next steps, forwarded all of my dog’s paperwork and test results, provided hard copies as backup, and sent us home with medication. After our visit, Dr. Valencia personally followed up to share the urine test results and to check in on how my dog was doing, something that meant more to me than I can express. That appointment ultimately led me to Raritan Valley Veterinary Hospital and then Eclipse Specialty & Emergency Pet Care (both of which I’ve also left reviews for based on this experience).
