Lead The Way Dog Training® provides professional dog training focused on building calm, confident dogs through clear communication, structure, and routine. We specialize in Positive Balanced Training℠, a fair and practical approach using guidance, accountability, and rewards to create reliable obedience and real world behavior.
We train puppies and adult dogs of all breeds through private lessons, drop off training, and board and train programs for busy owners. Training emphasizes consistency, structured socialization, and owner coaching for real life carryover.
Founded by Russ Norcross, a law enforcement K9 academy instructor with over twenty years of experience. Select post graduate programs include limited boarding with continued training and enrichment.

We took our puppy in when she was just about 6 months old for the Gold training program and have continued to use Lead the Way for boarding and club days. We saw an instant difference in our dogs obedience within just a few sessions. The trainers are very knowledgeable and willing to talk and assist in any way to make sure you walk away with a great companion.
- JCJames and CarlaOct 21, 20255.0Dakota is a rescue, she came with social problems along with fear and aggression towards people and other dogs. We expressed our concerns with LTW and they addressed them all and she is a different dog today. We would recommend them to anyone for dog training.

I've used dog trainers before with previous dogs but nothing compares to the level of skill and care that Russ and his team, Laura and Hannah, delivered. They're knowledgeable, confident, thorough, kind, and were able to answer every question I had. I love that Russ, during the lessons with me and Teddy, made sure that I understood commands that my pup learned so that I could continue at home, and that I fully understood the reasoning behind training. Bonus: Taking Teddy to different locations in the area to practice skills in different environments. Above and beyond!
