I have been meaning to write a review for MAI for a while, but life kept getting busy. Today, however, they went so far above and beyond that I stopped what I was doing to write this. Full disclosure: my boyfriend and I are DINKWADs and absolutely treat our puppy like our child, because she is, LOL. This will be a longer review, but when it comes to who you trust with your pets, the details matter.
The facility itself is incredible, honestly comparable to a 5-star hotel. If you ask, they are happy to give you a tour. They have a puppy nursery, an indoor heated pool, training areas, and multiple outdoor spaces. Everything is so clean, calm, and thoughtfully designed.
The staff is even more impressive. From the moment you walk in, they know exactly who you are. Even on our very first visit, they seemed to know our puppy immediately. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The lobby is welcoming, there is always someone available to help, and I have never once had to ask for assistance - someone is always there before you need them. Their communication is also excellent; you can text them and receive quick responses, which makes everything much easier than having to call.
Our puppy, Gracie, has been going to MAI since she was 11 weeks old. Their puppy daycare program is amazing and even offers training options. They prioritize safe socialization, which we all know is critical early on. They have structured playtime, nap time, and are even exposed to different sounds to help with desensitization. From day one, they were transparent, incredibly attentive, and provided daily updates.
When Gracie was bitten by another dog at four months old, they took extra care to ensure she didn’t develop fear or behavioral issues. They handled the situation with so much thought and compassion. She also had her first (fear-free) bath there, and now, it’s the only place we take her for grooming. While our original plan was to stop after puppy daycare, Gracie loved it so much that we continued once she aged out.
Over the past 6+ months, Gracie has attended daycare 2-3x a week and has loved every single day. She receives daily training and playgroup time, and it truly shows - she is polite, confident, and happy. The positive impact MAI has had on her is so significant that we still send her even when we’re home.
When we went away, MAI was our first choice for boarding. Even though she goes regularly, we were still nervous leaving her for the first time. The staff walked us through boarding options ahead of time, discussed her routine, and made sure everything was tailored to her needs. They are so detail-oriented that they called us before we even got home to let us know we had forgotten to drop something off with her. During her stay, we received daily updates and photos, which was an enormous relief, especially with her dietary needs and medication.
The reason I finally stopped today - on Christmas Eve - to write this review is because MAI proved they are more than just a business. Last week, Gracie became seriously ill with a severe stomach issue and spent 48 hours in the ICU (she is now home and okay). I messaged MAI to let them know she wouldn’t be attending daycare. I received a call from them today. I assumed it would be a routine business call. Instead, they were calling solely to check on Gracie and see how she was doing. They called - on Christmas Eve - just because they genuinely cared. If you’ve ever had a puppy critically ill in the ICU, you know how overwhelming and emotional that experience is. To receive a call with no agenda other than concern was incredibly touching and honestly brought me to tears.
I cannot say enough good things about MAI and their staff. Over the past six months, they have been endlessly supportive, professional, and kind. Today, simply confirmed what we already knew: they genuinely care about the animals entrusted to them. Gracie is not just another client to them, and I don’t think I’ll ever trust anyone else with her. Thank you to MAI and every one of your amazing employees.
