I want to begin by saying I truly appreciate the veterinarian I saw and the efforts made to help my dog during a very difficult time. I am not blaming this practice for her passing, as she was 12 years old and I understand the situation was complex and ultimately part of the natural course of life. That said, I do want to share my experience honestly. During our visits, we discussed treatment options including medication and oxygen therapy, and I left feeling hopeful that these measures could help stabilize her condition. We also had conversations about the ethical considerations of euthanasia. I clearly remember expressing that if it ever reached the point where she was suffering, I would not want to prolong that and would support euthanasia if recommended. At the time, I was told it was not yet at that stage of “end of life” and that we should continue to monitor her response to treatment. Within 1-2 days with no positive reaction to the treatment, then we will revisit euthanizing. I followed that guidance and brought her in for the prescribed care, including a furosemide injection. In hindsight, I wish there had been more direct honesty about how critical her condition was, because I would have chosen to humanely let her go rather than continue treatments that gave me hope but ultimately did not change the outcome. It also felt, from my perspective in the moment, like there were ongoing treatment options presented that required additional expensive costs while I was trying to do everything possible for her. I would have deeply appreciated clearer guidance if euthanasia was truly the more compassionate, ethical, reasonably affordable, and humane option at that stage. I share this not as blame, but as my honest perspective of how the situation unfolded and how it felt from my side as her owner during her final hours. I was forced to watch my dog decline rapidly, given the false hope, leading to her passing away in our home, the same day she was seen at the clinic for the furosemide injection. I am grateful for the care provided, and the attempts to help her, even through such a traumatic and heartbreaking outcome.

Bond Vet was a bit pricey, but they still saw me even though I was a little late to my appointment, which I really appreciated. I thought my cat had an ear infection, and after discussing it with the staff, they tested the wax and confirmed it. They gave me ear flush and eardrops, and also showed me how to clean his ear properly. On top of that, they helped cut his nails for free, which was a nice bonus. Overall, the service was friendly, helpful, and a good experience.

So I took my beloved cat here and she died. After calling every day for the results of my pets bloodwork for a WEEK (mind you they had the results but no vet could find the time to call me and give me a read on my cats bloodwork. After FIVE days I got someone to read me the results and assured me that the high platelet count didnt mean much and if I was still concerned I could get a scan. They suggested gabapentin. Two days later I took her to another great vet in montclair who did Bibas bloodwork and came out and kindly told me that she had advanced lymphoma and now it was about keeping her comfortable. And I did. And she died. I can't tell you how much these people let me and my angel biba down. Paid over $500 to leave us waiting in the waiting room, take sloppy bloodwork giving her back to me SOAKED in some sterilizing stuff, she was freezing, and then to drop the ball, THE BIGGEST BALL? Shame on you. I want my cat back.
