- KKKeithFeb 22, 20261.0We went to Banfield Pet Hospital at Petsmart in Manahawkin. Our 9 year old GSD needed Purina EN canned food that was prescribed this week. The perscription # and Veterinarian's signature were on a PDF on my phone. That was not considered "legal" for the particular dog food (Which contains no medicine at all). The same PDF was good enough for the pet insurance company however. Being the weekend, our Vet was not available. The manager wouldn't come out to discuss when asked. With 20+ inches of snow imminent, and not being able to buy a few cans of dog food with a new perscription (that I had) is really terrible.

Since transferring to the Manahawkin location, the staff has always been absolutely amazing and always getting Rocky in for appointments quickly. Recently, I've needed to be there every weekend for an issue and they always greet you with a smile and explain everything very thorough!
- NBNancy BergeyDec 31, 20251.0I've become very disappointed with the service my Jackson did and didn't receive. He was giving dental cleaning when they should of past on dental cleaning do to his elevated liver levels. Witch was less then 3 weeks. Now they want to charge me for the entire year. This place is all about the money not the well-being of your pet. I was told just his age with high liver levels and well his teeth are clean. I have two other dogs and my thoughts have really changed on how little they care.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
