There are some benefits of being a Wellness Plan member such as routine exams and vaccinations. However, treatments and medications are still at very high costs. The Wellness plan just went up again this year. The service is adequate, but used to be a lot better.

Scammers… my elderly cat gets regular adequan injections bi yearly and any flare ups for arthritis at home for over 2 yrs, and these guys wont fill an rX from another vet without me coming there for an appointment and claim they have to administer the shot. Ok guess this is the only vet in NJ that does that because we have worked with numerous in Union County, Monmouth County, and now Mercer County and never run into this. My first time attempting to use banfield, who is known for being horrible, and obviously wont try again. They also take a long time to answer the phone. In regards to making an appointment for a routine shot we do at home for years… NO THANKS SCAMMERS. Maybe the receptionist is confusing meds (solensia maybe), in which case that is WORSE.

Don’t take your pet to them. They don’t care about your pet they only care about themselves shouldn’t be in the business at all. I had an emergency and ran in to see if I could rinse my dog’s leg and maybe at least get a bandage. Only to be turned away while the staff laughed and didn’t take my request serious at all. I know it’s not an emergency vet however if you cared for animals at all you wouldn’t allow a dog to come in and leave in this condition and do absolutely nothing. I’ve spent thousands of dollars with Banfield and this is sad and outrageous.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
