- LOLaurie OkaneOct 28, 20251.0I’ve been bringing my animals to Raintree Veterinary hospital for almost 30 years. We saw Dr Dana and his staff which were wonderful, we actually boarded my dog there if we went on vacation and they were fabulous with her as she had some anxiety. After Dr Dana passed away, we still took our dog there and they were fine but definitely not as warm and comforting. Fast forward, a week ago, I had to put my beautiful baby of 14 years and two weeks old down due to an injury and other medical issues. Because she had so much anxiety and she had just undergone a traumatic injury at a veterinary hospital, we had a company come to the house for her final moments. It was a beautiful ending to her life and they took her to be cremated and asked if I wanted her shipped to my vet who is Raintree and I said yes. When I went today to pick her remains up, the girl behind the counter was expecting me as I called ahead to tell them that I was on my way, as I walked in, she got up from her seat, grabbed the bag with my dogs remains, handed it over, I said thank you and she said “K, bye”. I’ve been a customer for over 30 years, have had numerous pets, I have never received such a dismissive greeting, especially under these circumstances. Please train your front desk to be a bit more compassionate under certain circumstances. As an animal lover, we see our dogs/cats, etc like family. That was a 30 second interaction that left a very bad impression on me. Do better, Raintree.
