While I'm not overly satisfied with the doctors, I still wanted to make a point to leave some words of appreciation for the ones that make all the difference but are often overlooked . .. the reception and vet tech staff! These ladies have made every experience there a 5 star one even when the doctor left me with unanswered questions and missed bladder stones in our cat. Sidebar ... I understand working with animals is VERY difficult because they can't tell you what hurts, but the doctor could have followed up or performed the urinalysis as requested. That being said, I have witnessed the supporting staff handle very difficult clients while remaining pleasant, empathetic, kind, and patient. Their follow through has always been top tier and I truly hope Banfield stops to tell the East Hanover Staff that they make a difference ... every single day and in ways they probably don't even realize these girls are amazing. Thank you, ladies, for taking such great care of my pets and their overly protective Momma. You are all truly appreciated!!! ❤️
- IGI GOct 11, 20251.0Horrible, horrible, horrible! Banfield has gone downhill drastically. Do not go there! Very poorly run and unprofessional. The staff is rude and not trained properly. They don't care about your pet or your concerns about your pet. It is a third time we are having a problem with them! I would give up on them immediately but we have this Wellness plan which makes you stuck with them. My mistake! I thought that I'm paying for a piece of mind but got disappointment, humiliation and untreated pet! Below attached the screenshot of the appointment scheduled at 9:30 am! That place is a disgrace!!!!

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
