  My daughter took her small dog for his exam. They said it would take 45 minutes and it did. Great service and friendly staff. Pet insurance covered everything.

  Whoever answers the phone is so rude. I wanted an appointment with my dog in the room, but they’re saying that they can only do drop offs in the morning, but online, it says that they have in room appointments in the morning. Especially when I’ve never met these doctors before I would want to be in a room with my pet to see what’s going on and I’ve expressed that. And she said she would move me to a in room appointment next week, but that’s totally inconvenient so I told her I would have to think about it and give them a call back and she just hung up the phone. I really don’t see what difference it makes me being in the room or not. I let them know that my dog behaves better when getting shots when I’m holding him. It just seems suspicious. Not to mention the first time I’ve ever been to them they tried to act as if I don’t know how to take care of my dog. The customer service is just not great here. I can’t give them my money anymore in good conscience.

  I've only been with Banfield for about a year. While I'm not overly satisfied with the doctors, I still wanted to make a point to leave some words of appreciation for the ones that make all the difference but are often overlooked . .. the reception and vet tech staff! These ladies have made every experience there a 5 star one even when the doctor left me with unanswered questions and missed bladder stones in our cat. Sidebar ... I understand working with animals is VERY difficult because they can't tell you what hurts, but the doctor could have followed up or performed the urinalysis as requested. That being said, I have witnessed the supporting staff handle very difficult clients while remaining pleasant, empathetic, kind, and patient. Their follow through has always been top tier and I truly hope Banfield stops to tell the East Hanover Staff that they make a difference ... every single day and in ways they probably don't even realize these girls are amazing. Thank you, ladies, for taking such great care of my pets and their overly protective Momma. You are all truly appreciated!!! ❤️

  The vets are very good. My issue with Banfield (at least at East Hanover NJ) is that they do everything to drive up your bill. Tests/blood tests when not required, vaccinations that are clearly optional, prescription given for 6 months instead of 12 months to force you to come back and incur another consultation fee. Agree that this is a for-profit, but the selling of unnecessary services really needs to stop. I hope someone from the E Hanover location reads this and takes action.
