  I came to vetco for my dogs routine shots. There was no direction from staff and no visible signs indicating where to go inside store for vaccinations. First I met the vet. She was busy. Her assistant was manhandling a dog and wanted me to get out of visual contact of the dog as if I was the one bothering the dog he was manhandling. It was rude and wrong to think my presence made this dog uncomfortable as opposed to his manhandling really making dog uncomfortable. I dont think he wanted me to see how he was treating the animals. They didnt have an office it was done in an aisle of the store. Then in a sny condescending tone he instructed me to go check in. Again.. No signs as to where i need to check in. I ALREADY checked in online and TEXTED THAT I WAS THERE. So I dont know why we need to check in again. No opportunity to ask this question and no instructions where to meet vetco inside Petco. I asked where and again he was rude saying obviously to the people wearing scrubs. This was very rude. I went to the people wearing scrubs who tried to pressure sell name brand dog medicine for heartworm without first checking if my dog had heart worms. This individual tried to explain that I wasn't up to date however what they failed to ask is if my dog had vaccinations somewhere else and my dog did. She had surgery and had these vaccinations prior to this surgery at a different Vet. This was my worst experience with Vetco. So disorganized, rude, pressure selling prior to testing making it clear that this is a money grab of 500 dollars of unnecessary medications and they dont care about my dog. And now i am getting bombarded with text messages and emails of this unnecessary medication for heartworm when my dog doesnt have heartworm. This is the employees of Vetco not the Vet. The Vet was pleasant and professional. Employees had no bedside manner and should either be trained accordingly how to talk with owners and how to handle the animals because I am surprised this mishandling of that dog by male vet assistant was allowed by that dogs owner. Not good. You should fire him. I am not sure i will use Vetco again.

  Horrible experience! They charge more for vaccines than their posted prices. They are not cheaper than going to a real vet’s office. You have to stand around in the store waiting on line, no privacy. They make you come back for booster shots and charge you double for one type of vaccine than getting the same vaccine in ONE shot in the regular vet’s office! Also the Vet doctor’s behavior with the dogs was bizarre… she kisses them up and down all over. I never saw this before. Very unprofessional. All around, a terrible experience. Stick with a real vet’s office!
