- KPKrysten ProksaApr 11, 20261.0I’m writing this review specifically about the Vetco clinic inside the Salem Petco, not the Petco store itself. I visited on April 11th for what I expected to be a quick, straightforward vaccine appointment. Unfortunately, the experience was unexpectedly negative from start to finish. The veterinarian was highly judgmental about the training tools I use with my Belgian Malinois and went as far as to suggest that I was encouraging aggressive behavior by using them. She also appeared biased against the breed based on her own personal opinions. More concerning was how my dog was handled. I clearly informed the veterinarian that my dog has a partial ACL tear and asked that she be handled carefully. Despite this, my dog was handled roughly, and my concerns were disregarded. As a professional dog trainer, I am confident in my handling skills, and my dog remained calm and well-behaved throughout the visit. Even so, the veterinarian dismissed my input and continued to criticize both my methods and my experience. Overall, the interaction was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to the Salem Petco Vetco clinic or working with this veterinarian again.

Especially my girl who can be super nervous. Also having bully breed dogs some vets(people in general) don’t care much for them. Everyone was so nice and patient. Vetco has saved me so much money in making it affordable for my babies vet care. I appreciate them so much! Thank you!!
