  I had a very disappointing experience at PetSmart. We brought our puppy in for a scheduled grooming appointment, but the check-in process alone took over 10 minutes. Less than 5 minutes after we left, we received a call asking us to come pick him up because he was “biting at the water.” This was surprising and frustrating, as we’ve had him groomed elsewhere without any issues. It honestly felt like the groomer didn’t take the time or make the effort to work with him. I expected more patience and professionalism, especially from a place that specializes in pet care. Overall, a very disappointing experience

  I was a walk in for my dog’s nail trimming and Lindsey took right away and did a great job.

  My lab Samson has been going to Petco in Salem Nh for 4 1/2 years and every one is so nice and Samson always looks great when the complete his grooming

  This was our first time bringing our dog, Ollie to the groomers. It will be our last time bringing him to petco. The person who received us at check in, was rude to us, as if we had been there before and knew exactly what to do. We spoke with the groomer and specifically said that I did not want her to shave him down all the way. I understood that he had some matting but I made it very clear. Additionally, I had purchased the basic package (no add ons) and when I arrived for pick up, Ollie was completely naked (no hair at all) except for his face and the receipt was for about $45 more than I had asked for. They never called me to ask me or tell me that they were going to use a special shampoo or that they were going to charge more for anything. When I asked them, they said that it was the groomer’s choice to add those things. Again, I was never consulted or told this, so I was forced to pay for something that I was not prepared for… then the groomer proceeded to tell me that she did me a favor because my golden doodle is considered a large one and she should’ve charged more. I never said he wasn’t a large one. When I booked his appointment, I was asked what his weight was and the system automatically populated the size (I assume) based on his weight. To make matters worse, the groomer hurt my dog in my ear during the process and never even think to mention this to me. It’s a significant piece, so I know the groomer saw it. I only noticed it because I was trying to pet Ollie and he kept flinching and moving away in pain. This was a very bad experience and will be looking for another place for future grooming. I will not be recommending Petco grooming to anyone. This was not professional or people friendly at all.
