    Had my dog groomed there this past Sunday. Appointment was at 2 pm and didn’t finish until 6 PM! They botched my dog!! Huge piece of hair down to the skin, also looks red and irritated. When I picked him up, i was not made aware of any of this and in fact told me that my dog “did great”. Terrible costumer service, called many times for updates on when to pick up my dog and had to end up having to just show up and demand any kind of update. I will never give Petco business ever again.

    I went April 11th for a quick vaccine clinic, which I thought would be In-N-Out. But unfortunately, it was all an unexpected and very terrible experience. The vet was very discriminating due to the tools that I was using on my Belgian Malinois, And proceeded to inform me on how I would build my dog to become aggressive, using the said tools. She was also very discriminating of the breed based off of Her own experiences and was very rough handling my girl. I informed the vet that she had a partial ACL tear and asked her to be Careful. I was blatantly ignored, and she still proceeded to be rough on her. I work as a local dog trainer, I knew how to properly handle my dogs and they were the ones that were calm and Collective. And she proceeded to still ignore me and discriminate my handling skills. Not only was she very rude and disrespectful. She was also unprofessional. I do not plan on going back to the Salem Petco nor wanting to handle or deal with that said veterinarian again.

    Your company offers walk in services. Customers can-not schedule an appointment on line these services. When a customer calls grooming to schedule a Mini Make Rover no one answers the phone. The phone will not let a customer leave a voice message. The operator will take a name an number but does not give the message to the groomer. No one ever returned my call. I went in person with my dog. The groomer flatly refuses to do any walk in service without an appointment. This happens at all the PetCo locations. Clearly doing as little as possible on a shift is the goal! Treating new customers like this is not good for business. Getting my dog from the car into the store while using a rolator walker is difficult enough. To be refused service just added insult to injury. 🥲

    My fiancé and I went in today looking to house our first beta since we were young. Daren helped us so much. He spent at least 20 minutes with us answering all our questions and giving us amazing advice to care for the beta we’d picked out. I had so many questions and he was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. You could tell he not only cared to help but cared about the well being of the beta and that means a lot. I’d done my own research prior but he had experience and gave me so many tips I wouldn’t have known otherwise. The cashier was wonderful too! I didn’t get her name but she was also very helpful. I left blown away by the incredible customer service they provided and I felt confident in my next steps to insure my beta would thrive. Highly recommend this store! Best experience I’ve ever had at a pet store. Darren needs a raise! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
