- DRDionne RileyNov 29, 20251.0I have been with them for years. The last 6 months has been horrendous and awful. Can't get appointments, don't have enough vets on staff for clients. My dog is a senior and sick and needs a vets service. I have come to regret signing up for this insurance with Banfield. This is not my first problem with them wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I'm stuck since my dog is sick and no other insurance will cover him due to preexisting conditions.
- APAnthony PaulinoNov 22, 20251.0DO NOT BRING YOU PETS HERE. I REPEAT DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE. For the most part the employees seem to generally love and care for pets. However, my dog has had an ear infection for 2+ years. I’ve gone to banfield multiple times with the same issue. Sometimes even 3+ times a month so that they could tell me the same things. I was totally done with them when one veterinarian told me there was nothing we can do for you. After being told this they scheduled more appointments to have that issue fixed. The cherry on top. I have the wellness plan. I wanted to cancel and I had 3 months left. They wanted to charge me $225 to cancel. That’s just unheard of after the service I’ve received. Additionally mybanfield shows auto renewal is off, yet there paperwork states that since I am monthly it will automatically renew. So which is it. Super unhappy with this pet hospital.

I brought my cats here nearly 4 times in the last year and after calling them recently, they claim they’ve never had my cats treated here. They lost my cat’s vet records! How does that even happen??

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
