  Tara is *chef's kiss*. Very knowledgeable about reptiles. She provided me with a reputable vet (which is hard to find around here.) And was very engaged with what my worries were and how to fix my issue. Top Tier customer service not only from her but also her co worker at the time. Sorry I didnt get your name but thank you !! Due to her fast thinking and understanding of the situation I really do believe she saved my chameleon. 10 stars!! Will deffently recommend!!!

  I stopped in Friday afternoon(2/13 at 11am) with my 3 kiddos just to browse and look at the fish. My toddler loves animals so stopping at Petco is always on our list when we're in town. I noticed that the enclosure for one of the chameleons wasn't closed properly / part of the hatch was coming apart. I brought it to the attention of two employee's and they promptly fixed it. My main concern was the chameleon was able to stick its little hand out of the gap and I was concerned about it being injured. I didn't get the employees names but I appreciate that they worked together and fixed it right away to ensure the safety of their pet! They expressed appreciation that I alerted them on the issue and they were equally as concerned about injury.

  I can’t remember her name, Sonja or Tonya was super nice ! We went in later in the day and she let my kids pet some snakes and was so friendly! We really enjoyed the experience yesterday

  In December my family drove the almost 3 hours from our home to this Petco to buy a couple of guinea pigs for our kids. This is the closest pet store that had any in stock. We decided on girls because thy tend to have less issues with aggressive behavior than boys. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pets came with a 30 day warranty against illness which was very reassuring. Two and a half weeks later is when the trouble started. They started developing crusty bald spots. I contacted the pet store about this and was told I had to bring them back for treatment. Three hours each way in the car with sick stressed out guinea pigs did not sound like a good idea. The manager was gone for the day so I waited until the next day to call back and see if we could use the local vet and the manager agreed that the store would pay for that. I took them to the vet the next day and when I called the store back as instructed when it was time to process payment the manager was gone for the day and had left no instructions for the staff about the situation. I had to pay the vet bill myself. The next day I was told I was basically out of luck. Last night while I was cleaning the cage and giving them their medicine I discovered that one of my female guinea pigs was a boy. And the other is pregnant. When I called them they told me I can surrender them if I don’t want them any more. I have three kids that are very attached to their pets so I guess I get to pay to have him neutered now. Thanks Petco. I’ll never be back.
