I was there for three hours with my sick dog and they kept saying it will be a little while..They finally came over and handed us a paper with other vet practices and said try going to one of these .meanwhile we waited all this time and all the other practices were 45 minutes away and closed. What a horrible practice !!! This is not the first time it happened. I would not recommend them to anyone 😕

Dr Olsen called us said “good news your dogs labs are improving “ I screamed for joy.. then he said “but she’s no longer breathing” there is zero reason on why anyone would call and give positive news to only say your dog has passed. I highly recommend people stay as far from this place as you can. I’ll save all the details because it’s not needed but Dr. Olsen is a terrible human being and he also said it without emotion. I asked for an apology for his thoughtless actions but never received one. Heartless man just getting a paycheck. Also non AAHA accredited. Avoid Avoid Avoid…

Went there on a Saterday afternoon at roughly 2:40 p.m. After waiting for over 3 hours roughly around 6 p.m a very sloppy dressed overweight vet tec that I had been seeing walk around eating mc donalds all evening approached my wife and I and said. We are very busy and would suggest going to greensboro emergency vet, I have already spoke to them and they will be expecting you and get you right in. Well I wasnt happy I waited 3 hours to be told that but my cat needed help so we packed up and drove from winston to greensboro. Once arrived they told us that they have not spoke to anyone from the winston branch and we only take pets in the order arrived and by the condition of the pet. So in other words that winston vet tec told me a bold face lie!! I was now at the back of the line and spent 7 hours before I was seen after waiting 3 hours at winston. One of the worst experiences of my life. Never never never will I step foot in that emergency clinic again and would advice anyone else the same.

During an emergency, I was forced to call pet poison control because there was no veterinarian on site or on call to answer questions. I paid $100 for that call before this clinic would see my dog. From the moment I arrived, the interaction felt cold and dismissive.
After waiting over an hour with a dog experiencing tremors, sudden head jerking, and abnormal eye movements, they placed an IV and then presented a $5,000 lump-sum estimate. When I respectfully asked for an itemized estimate so I could understand what treatment was needed to save him, they refused. Instead of explaining my options or the care he would receive, they immediately removed the IV and handed my critically ill dog back to me. I was charged nearly $500 for roughly 10 minutes of care and an IV that was in place for only a few minutes.
There was no compassion, no communication, and no attempt to save my dog. Only technicians following protocol, with no veterinarian involved.
I took my dog home, stayed up all night watching him and praying over him. The next morning, my regular vet treated him, and for $175 he fully recovered.
What makes this especially painful is that years ago this same clinic was compassionate and worked with me to help save another dog. I once trusted this place. I no longer feel it is a safe emergency option.
I strongly encourage pet owners to research other emergency clinics before relying on this facility.

I had called about five minutes ahead to let them know I was coming with my cat. I got there before my husband did (he was coming with the cat because I was at work) and I came in and asked if I could start paperwork. My husband came in with our cat and I finished the paperwork. We, along with one other person with a cat, sat in the waiting room for an hour. My cat had an accident where she became really off balance and couldn’t walk. There were pets leaving, but neither we nor the other cat were taken back. Finally, an hour after I got there, we were taken back to an exam room. Then, we waited another hour without a single person coming in to talk to us. No vet tech, no veterinarian, nothing. We just sat in an exam room for an entire hour before we decided to leave and take our cat somewhere else. They’re lucky my cat didn’t seem to be as hurt as we originally thought, because there was no sense of urgency. As a pet owner, anything that goes wrong and is out of the norm for your pet, sends you into an anxiety attack. The receptionists barely spoke to us, didn’t seem sympathetic. We finally walked out the exam room and told the we were taking her somewhere else and they didn’t ask why and didn’t try to stop us. I say avoid this place, as you’re gonna be waiting, and don’t expect anybody to check on you and your beloved pet. Go to Greensboro or Charlotte or Raleigh. In fact, especially if you have exotic animals, I recommend Veterknary Emergency Group in Charlotte.
