- CFChuck FFeb 15, 20263.0Really torn on this visit. Went to get some salt water fish and inverts. Wound up with 4 fish (total of ~$90) and two corals ($65). So the fish (Balloon Body Mollies and a Hawkfish) are great and doing well. The "soft" coral I got is doing fine. However, the torch coral I got had 2 heads. One of them has died (it never opened up) while the other is barely holding it's own. I realize there is no guarantee on marine livestock purchases but I feel very misled on the torch. The mgr. who helped me was overall very nice but I asked her if the torch would come out and she assured me it had and it would. You know, if it would have done well at first and then went downhill, I would figure it possibly was my issue with water parameters, etc. But it never budged from where it was and only went downhill. And at $40, I feel that I was taken advantage of. If I had been told that it wasn't doing "great" or something of that nature, I would have gotten something else. So I guess since I scored on 5 our of 6 items that I should be happy. But $40 is still $40........ Just wanted to update on this review and the owners response. I called the store today and explained about the issue, the review, and the owners response. The store's response? No returns on salt water. That's it. In other words, too bad, so sad.....so anyway, that was my first visit and will also be my last visit.
