  I just went for a first appointment this morning. Completely Unprofessional. While I was completing paperwork, the 'Dr' was around the corner talking about me to staff. I got up and went around the corner and told them I could hear them...and that I was leaving. The fact that the Vet, herself, was instigating gossip is mindblowing. I guess they don't need new patients or relationships.

  They were awesome, it was the first time for me and my 3yr old big booy boy! They answered any questions I had.

  I recently moved to Wake Forest from Miami. Dr. Amy Fischlein's demeanor was absolutely the most passive aggressive and apathetical encounter I've ever had with a "professional". I took both of my senior dogs in for routine rabies vaccines, flea/heartworm prevention, and exams. Most importantly, I simply wanted her opinion on what my 15 year old dog's neurological issues could be, and after she recommended hip pain meds, I told her it seemed neurological (head pressing, loss of coordination, etc). She said my previous vet hasn’t provided records, only invoices, which is interesting because I never received communication from her office this was the case. Did she want me to follow up with them, did her office ask? She looked at me and said "well it seems to prednisone worked with your last vet". I then tried several times articulating that I was interested in the underlying problem, and she had zero interest. Absolutely rude, passive aggressive, and clearly let me know she had zero interest. Even after a $732.00 bill zero interest. I had her take a look at the sore on his paw and she simply said "only option is to remove or try to get enough cells" which is exactly the way ahead, but then she didn't give a recommendation or address the concerns with either option. Max is my best friend, and I'm trying desperately to find help for him.

  I have been bringing my pet to this location for a few years now. It is easy to get an appointment online or by phone. They do have some weekend hours which is super helpful! And most of all they are VERY kind and always take time to talk me through an itemized invoice before treatment begins. I never feel that they are trying to push anything unnecessary for my dog. They are our preferred hospital.
