I do NOT recommend this vet hospital, I was with them for several years and their prices are pretty high. but the reason is I took my dog there NIKKI to be checked for something that she had about 6 months earlier, where her platelets were near zero causing her to be no energy and no feeling well, this time and the last time she was in heat and EACH time we brought it to the attention of the VET. I asked to do the bloodwork that would just verify the platelets but like MORE TIMES she ran the bill up over $700 that INCLUDED a ulta-sound that she recommended. The platelets WERE low but not as bad before and was going to put on the same meds HOWEVER she came back with this: Plan:
Recommended transfer to a emergency hospital for emergency pyometra surgery and
treatment of thrombocytopenia. Owner declines at this time due to financial reasons.
Owner is aware of potential life threatening issues such as uncontrolled bleeding and
rupture of the uterus
this PROCEDURE was at a MINIMUM of 6 to 8 thousand dollars and needed to be done NOW!!!!. She was going to send us to a vet in winston to do the procedure without VERIFYING all this I presume. I did find my OLD Vet on the coast was bout 2k cheaper but I still did not have that kind of money to tap into that fast. So the option to put her down to avoid suffering was part of the mix. My oldest daughter came to me and said lets take her to a board certified in Greensboro and double check everything. SO WE DID. Nikki did have low platelet count and meds would help with that. HOWEVER the LIFE THREATENING SITUATION was she was IN HEAT, period!!!!!! I came so close to put her down to avoid her suffering and this SCARED ME. so to fix a low platelet count including Thomasville VET hospital and the other one that did the CORRECT ONE, cost me over $1400 and nearly my dogs life. AVOID THIS DANGEROUS VET. I am also sending my complaint to the Veterinary Board. A vet is there to SAVE LIVES and not advise Patients incorrectly. I should have know when they could not even correct a small hair loss 2 years ago that they ran THAT BILL UP to over $700 with NO RESULTS but another Vet in Walkertown got the correct meds to her and it never came back again for under $300. OH YEAH to trim a PUPPIES Nails on first visit NORMALLY every vet I have dealt with in 40 plus years NEVER CHARGED FOR IT. a simple nail clipper and in seconds an entire litter is DONE, but not here, they wanted to charge me $26 PER PUP. THIS VET is a MONEY ONLY hospital, so for the sake of your pets health and life GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Will never bring my pets back. After being charged double the amount my normal vet charges my cat’s surgery had to be re-done and cleaned up. Because the vet left dead skin around the wound.

Before even bringing my dog I asked about the price over the phone and was quoted 150 , even was denied my employment discount without even looking into it……… no X-rays no nothing and 150 doubles into 300 plus dollars for the same bandage I was applying before going …… no wonder I received 100 please contact to confirm visit text msgs ….. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED…… 👎🏽 keep in mind the wrap was applied on the floor so if you want to pay 300 for some spray cheese and dog treats go right ahead

I have been taking my cats here for 7 years, since they were kittens. I love the staff. I only gave 4 because it's expensive, but comparable to other's offices.
