  I take my little Pupper to PetCo in Sanford, NC. It is clean, very well organized, the shelves are kept stocked and the employees are fantastic people. My only complaint is with Corporate! I have Vital Care for my little girl Pupper, but it's NOT recognized in the PetCo app. As a result prices are not reflected appropriately for having Vital Care and I can NOT make routine nail trim and teeth brushing appointments thru the app. I either have to make an appointment for a full groom with a bath at full price or not make an appointment thru the app. I HATE THIS!!!! I have talked to Customer Service about this extensively, but they act like it's no big deal and give me the run around! I think ALL Corporate members and ALL Customer Service reps need to either be extensively retrained and held accountable, or replaced. This whole situation about her Virtual Care not being recognized is completely illogical, foolish and is completely void of common sense.

  Large selection.. but asked an associate for help with finding the best dog food for our puppy as she’s seemed to developed an allergy to the food we originally chose. The employee told me they really didn’t know what to recommend, and that they weren’t familiar with any of the brands I was looking at. I ended up spending 30 minutes comparing brands and reading ingredients to decide what may be best for us. Felt dismissed when I was requesting help. Expected employees to be a bit more helpful/knowledgeable on products they offer for sale in their store.

  Just to ask is the fish area self service like am I supposed to catch and bag them. I always have to wait around and would do it if allowed.

  I avoid looking at the animals in these places because of how depressing it can be, but the cutest little ferret caught my eye that just wanted someone’s attention. They are not meant to stay in constant solitude behind glass like that. It didn’t even have a partially covered area to hide + no bed. The fact that the price is set at $500 is just beyond ridiculous.. He’ll never be adopted atleast not for awhile it seems.. in my opinion this comes off as a type animal mistreatment

  Today I brought my dog for a furminator bath. I have been here a hand full of times but today a new bather Amanda was her bather. Upon check in she asked if Sadie was going to get her nails done today as normally she does not. I expressed NO NAILS as I do them at home; Amanda expressed understanding. Upon picking up my dog Amanda expressed Sadie did great. Once home I started seeing blood sprinkled all over the floor throughout the entire house. Stunned I began looking for the source. I checked Sadie over and Amanda had gone against what was expressed NOT to do and cut her nails. She quicked every nail on every foot which where all still bleeding. Not only is this severely painful for a dog, she didnt have the common courtesy to let me know it happened.
