Took 2 of my dogs there to get annual vaccinations and heartworm tests so I could order heartworm meds. I specifically asked for prescriptions for heartgaurd. They put refills for simparico on my account. I went ahead and ordered the heart guard anyway. paid for the prescription. its been sitting for 5 days now while " they try to contact my vet" which ridiculously is them. So sick of waiting, I uploaded the written prescription for both dogs. Only to get a reply that I have to mail them in. Again they are the vet. They have this on file. they have my money. Then because I uploaded both prescriptions, I get another email stating "I have to place a new order" meanwhile they still have my money so in order to place another order I would have to pay again. Do not waste your time here. Go to Banfield. I will never use Petxo for anything ever again. Considering I have 5 dogs and spend several hundred a .pnth in food and treats and bring 3 there for veterinary care tou would expect a little more competency.

I want to share my experience regarding the care my dog has received for his perineal hernia.
Since finding out about his condition, I have been doing everything within my means to care for him. I’ve brought him in multiple times to have the hernia expressed when it becomes enlarged and painful. In the beginning, the staff seemed very compassionate and understanding, which meant a lot during such a stressful time.
However, over time, that experience began to change. As the process seemed to become more frustrating, the level of care and empathy I initially received declined. I understand this may be a complex or uncommon case, but this is also a very new and emotional experience for me as a pet owner.
During one visit, a staff member named Ahmed told me I would need to be charged due to the effort involved. I agreed without issue, but the interaction felt dismissive and uncomfortable. From that point on, I no longer felt supported and began to feel judged for not being able to afford a $10,000 surgery—despite doing everything I can for my dog.
Because of that shift, I stopped bringing him in and have been doing my best to manage his condition at home.
Today, when his hernia became severely enlarged and he was clearly uncomfortable, I called for urgent care. Ahmed answered, and the tone immediately felt cold and unwelcoming.
This experience has been deeply hurtful. Our pets are family, and this is a place I trusted to help care for mine during a very sensitive time. Compassion and consistency matter just as much as treatment, and unfortunately, that has not been my experience.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures all clients are treated with empathy, regardless of their financial circumstances.

0 stars . Horrible experience. It’s one thing to have a passion for animals and it’s another to just wake up and do a job. The doctor was extremely rough with my 16 week old GSD . He popped him for chasing his tail and told me he was going to be bad because he doesn’t listen to him when he told him to sit. My dog is very well trained and listens when he feels safe . His loyalty lies with me not a doctor whose first interaction is being stern with him. I know my dog very well . I said he is anxious but the way the doctor spoke to me and handled my puppy was unacceptable

Dr. Raboin is an incredible asset to his patients, their parents, the clinics he supports, and the entire veterinary care team. We first met him during an overnight emergency with one of our pups years ago, and ever since, we will drive to any location he's working at that day or night.
Every single time I check in and ask for Dr. Raboin, the front desk lights up with comments like, "We love him," "We look forward to his shifts," and "He's so generous with his knowledge." His expertise runs deep, and he shares it willingly. He's passionate about what he does and truly partners with me in caring for my pups. We are so grateful for him.

This is a 5-star review for the outstanding veterinary expertise and services at the Vetco Hospital Glenwood Ave location- particularly of Dr. Shannon Raboin and staff. This team exceeded expectations of compassion, communicating clear recommendations, diagnosis, and problem-solving. These vet skills are invaluable in creating a calm, and positive presence.
I came to Vetco to obtain a prescription for my pet- however, the knowledeable team identified a problem which required surgery. My pet Bichon was fortunate enough to interact with Mr. Ahmed (anesthesia) and Dr. S. Raboin, Veterinarian. They understood and described my options, allowing me to be part of the discussion. Once a plan was agreed upon, the procedure was scheduled. The surgerical team worked together and combining complex procedures.
I would like to thank the veterinarian and staff for the knowledge, skill, scheduling, and cooperation for my pet. The customer service at the desk was friendly and helpful in obtaining prescriptions, special diet, and instructions for after-care. I am grateful to Vetco and Dr. Raboin for his approach of using his knowledge and experience to prescribe the best solutions- for my pet's surgical workup- and future health!!
