After having my appointment rescheduled to another day due to an error with their website my pet went in for their visit as a drop-off patient vs. an in person visit and then wasn't treated according to our plan at drop off. My cat only needed 2 vaccines updated and apparently was not cooperating so they were only able to administer one of the shots. I was annoyed because if we had been given the in person appt like I had originally scheduled my cat likely wouldn't have been so agitated that he couldn't be examined/vaccinated. Instead of giving him time to settle in before treating him or giving him an hour or two to calm down in order to administer the second shot they called me and told me to pick him up and that we would have to reschedule 2-3 weeks later. In addition, they would expect me to pay another examination fee when we went back. When I told them how absurd that was, they basically said that because I was using the 1st time patient discount it shouldn't be a big deal to pay the exam fee next time. I will not bother going back. Because I wasn't there to advocate for myself or my cat, I feel they took advantage of me. They should have called me right away when he became agitated and not administered any care so that I could medicate him and bring him back at a later date to do everything at once and to avoid having to pay for a second exam. It felt to me like a ploy to get more money and that is a poor approach to medicine.
