I have never felt so much care from a vets office before. Dr Mauler and her tech (I wish I could remember her name!) were the sweetest and most kind people during my experience. When my cat Winchester suddenly became blind I was referred to neurology. During our visit they seemed to genuinely care for my kitty and took their time explaining what was going on. Dr Mauler even called me on a weekend to give me results of his MRI and answer all my questions. Every phone call and email was answered promptly and with concern. Unfortunately, we did have to put him down. Their compassion afterwards was unmatched. I don’t have the right words to describe how amazing they were/are but the heartfelt messages and gifts were way beyond anything I expected. You can tell those 2 ladies have a passion for what they do and truly care for the animals they see. I wish I could give way more stars than 5. These ladies are angels on earth. Dr Mauler, thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

Outstanding staff all across the board, from the front desk staff, to the techs and doctors. They were informative, caring, friendly, responsive and kept me up to date while our cat was recovering from a large wound.

I will never be able to fully express my gratitude to Dr. Bergman and staff at Carolina Veterinary Specialists for their help with my 5 year old French Bulldog Emmy Lou! She ended up needing surgery for cervical IVDD and Dr. Bergman was kind and compassionate, but also extremely confident (which is exactly what I needed!). He presented me with the facts and options and skillfully completed her successful surgery!!! Jamie up front was so understanding and also Kaitlyn helped answer all of my 1000 questions. They are literal angels and I will be forever grateful! I would give them 100000 stars if I could and I hope they all know they are truly making a difference in this world ❤️

Carolina Veterinary Specialists, Matthews NC, THANK YOU! I'm not the calmest person in an emergency, but ALL staff put me at ease and made me feel MY pet was their only concern. This was my 2nd visit in 3 years and I will always choose this practice when our primary vet is closed. They are calm, caring, concerned and competent. 10 stars! Y'all rock!

The people who work here are heroes that saved our best friend, Charlie, who happens to be an incredibly special dog. During Charlie's storied life, he's travelled from coast to coast by car, train, airplane, and boat. He's had his own social media following. But when I was diagnosed with cancer, Charlie immediately became a caretaker who stayed glued by my side day and night and only left to get help. So, when Charlie was diagnosed with a complicated cancer, we had to do everything we could to save him. Charlie had a large tumor growing through his vein and into his heart. It was so large, it almost blocked the entire vein and it didn't look like he'd survive. The tumor was causing his chest to fill with fluid that needed to be drained regularly. Enter the heroes. We were referred to Dr Estabrooks, who introduced Charlie to Dr Kelsey, who ran his case by her colleagues. Dr de Vlaming thought she could help. At first, she estimated Charlie's survival rate to be around 30%, but without surgery to remove the tumor, Charlie could have 100% died at any time. Despite the odds, Charlie's only hope was surgery, but on the day the surgery was scheduled, one of Charlie's lung lobes twisted inside his chest and the blood supply was cut off. We rushed him in, where Dr de Vlaming was able to successfully remove the tumor from Charlie's vein and heart, remove the dead lung lobe, and skillfully sew him back together. As far as we're concerned, Dr de Vlaming is an angel who performs actual miracles. Because of the heroic work of this amazing place, we've been given the most precious gift - more time with Charlie. It's been nearly 6 months since his surgery and Charlie's doing better than he's done in years! He has more energy, his eyes are clear again, and best of all, there are no signs of cancer regrowth! From the bottom of our hearts, we thank these doctors and their amazing staff at this pet hospital. They are truly heroes disguised as people.
