worst vet experiences ever. my final string for leaving this review is that on Monday I went in for a check up and blood work, and without showing me proof they claim my cat is showing “toxic levels of phenobarbital” (he has a prescription) and tell me I should reduce the dosage, which I expressed concerns about and referenced a previous conversation I had there at the last checkup, saying he still had seizures on this newly suggested dosage, and that this whole time I had him on a slightly higher one, he had no problems. 6 days later he has one of the worst seizures I have ever seen him have. I am extremely upset and dissatisfied with this location and I will NOT be returning here ever again.

The doctor was very kind so I feel bad writing a bad review but I feel as though people should be informed about this situation. We were told my dog Nigel had a softball sized mass in his abdomen that was seen on X-ray and sono that was likely cancer. We were referred out to the emergency vet who performed another ultrasound. After hours of waiting thinking our 5 year old golden was about to go through surgery and chemotherapy, and not knowing how much time we would have left with him, we were told there was no mass at all. The first vet mistook his colon as a mass and that everything looks perfectly fine. It was a bit traumatizing, I left work early hysterically crying to meet my boyfriend and Nigel at the second vet just to be told it was just his poop filled colon that they were seeing lol. Everyone was very kind and apologetic which is great, but maybe saying something more along the lines of “I’m not sure what I’m seeing here, I’d like you to get a second opinion” would have sufficed. Also, if the first vet had known what she was seeing in the images we could have avoided a $1500 emergency bill. I’m grateful everything is ok and everyone was super kind, but I hope no one else has to go through something like that.
