- DCD & D Pest Control Co.Dec 5, 20255.0Walking into Petco in Kinston felt like stepping into a magical vortex where every creature—furry, feathered, or fabulously scaly—whispers, “Take me home, human.” I swear the fish section alone hypnotized me so hard I almost walked out with a full saltwater tank, a neon tetra squad, and a book titled “So You Accidentally Became a Marine Biologist.” The staff? Pure gold. Friendly, helpful, and somehow able to answer questions like: “Is this toy durable enough for a dog who believes every object is a personal challenge?” and “Can hamsters learn martial arts or are mine just unusually energetic?” They helped me so well I briefly considered hiring them to manage my entire life. The checkout aisle is where the real hypnosis kicked in. I came in for one bag of dog food… yet somehow left with dog shampoo, catnip, a bird swing, a reptile rock cave, and a glow-in-the-dark leash I didn’t even know I needed. Petco magic is real—and extremely persuasive.
