We had a scheduled appointment for our cat, but when we arrived there were multiple dogs in the waiting area that were not being properly handled or controlled. Because of this, the staff told us we couldn’t stay for our appointment. As a pet owner, it’s frustrating to show up on time and prepared, only to be turned away due to a situation that wasn’t our fault. The front desk worker flat-out said, “No, I’m not doing that,” and quickly turned us away. The tone was dismissive and unprofessional. As it wasn’t our first time there and we’ve never been turned down that way. It’s frustrating to take the time to show up for an appointment and be turned away because the lobby wasn’t being managed well. A vet office should be prepared to handle both dogs and cats safely and respectfully. We left feeling brushed off and won’t be returning.
- ALA LangeFeb 6, 20265.0Yesterday I had to have my best friend of 11 years euthanized. I’m telling you people, I wanted to literally drive my car off the nearest high cliff. I have never been so devastated in my life…but Banfield? Jeez. They did every single thing in their power to make it easier on me. From talking me through tears and shaking, to using gentle tones, and quietly taking us back to a private room without even having to wait in the lobby, to comforting me as I said goodbye to my best friend. They were incredibly gentle with my dog during the entire process, even when she was already passed. I barely got through yesterday, and I think that their gentleness is what kept me standing. I didn’t get names, but whoever my vet and vet tech were yesterday for Zoey, you are angels sent from above and I hope you always get the cold side of the pillow, and never have to sit at a red light ❤️

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
