I would highly recommend this vet to anybody going through an emergency with their pet. On Tuesday night, my 15 year old cat started seizing at home and stopped breathing for a little bit, before starting again. In a panic knowing our normal vet was closed (it was around 11pm), I called this location praying they would have an opening. They were so kind and reassuring on the phone. When we got there, knowing the condition of our cat, they came and took him before we even checked in. All of the employees were so kind and knowledgeable. We unfortunately had to make the decision to put my childhood cat down that night, but I’m glad it was at this location. They gave us all the time we needed to make that decision and say our goodbyes, despite them being busy and it being after midnight. They are obviously a little more expensive than a regular 9-5 vet office, but that was expected. After all of the craziness, we had no idea what we wanted to do with his body. They give you a couple days to figure this out, which I think is extremely thoughtful of them. Overall I have no complaints. If any staff are seeing this, Thank you a million times for making this horrible process a little bit bearable.

My small 11 and a half year old little Yorkie mix rescue named Scrappy-Doo that I have had his whole life was attacked by a large Mastiff Great Dane mix. My dog is a 4 lb sweet little boy. I thought that I was going to lose him. But when I took him to Carolina veterinary specialist Huntersville the care that they gave him was above and beyond and they were able to save my sweet little baby. I'm not a rich person. I was married for 20 years and lost him 3 years ago and have been struggling to make ends meet since then. They talked me through the expenses for the procedures, and then they were able to help me work through being able to pay for that very large unexpected medical bill With alternative options like credit Care. The help they gave went above and beyond your every day emergency veterinarian care. The absolute care and concern from the entire staff was completely unexpected, but most appreciated. Scrappy and I will be forever grateful till our last breath to Carolina Veterinary Specialist Huntersville.

They are wonderful! Brought in my newly adopted puppy girl that was showing some scary symptoms. I was shocked how quickly they tended to her and got her treated and taken care of. They are incredibly fast. All of the staff I encountered were so kind and understanding. Thank you to the team that took care of my Nova. Highly recommend if you ever run into an emergency with your pup and need immediate care!

Thank You for treating my Great Dane puppy who had a severe HOD flare up. Dozer is now recovering, doesn’t seem like he’s in pain anymore and he’s able to walk now!
He’s been kept for around 4 days. I was starting to lose hope, wondering if euthanasia was the only way to help him.. But ya’ll took great care of him and saved him ❤️
If he ever has another flare up (I hope not) and will need hospitalization, I’ll definitely come back!

There are few things more alarming than an emergent situation with a loved one who can't communicate their issue, pain level, etc. And when this does happen, you want and need a team of people who GET IT and GET ON IT right away. I called in a panic and spoke with Madison, the voice of calm and reason. Within minutes of that call, I was out the door and on the way to Huntersville. On arrival, I was helped by Amy in the intake area while my little angel was taken to triage. It was not too long before I was called into the exam room. Her condition was deteriorating quickly. She was presented to me in a soft, warm towel to share this precious time before the end. Her vet, Dr. Coartney, was personable, knowledgeable, and very compassionate. She patiently explained everything to me: how her condition lays silently in the body ; how her species tend to "hide" ailments in a way their 'person' isn't aware of distress until it's become emergent, etc. I was allowed to stay as long as I needed to grieve the loss of my sweet girl and arrange for cremation. This part was also done very well: options were provided so I could make the best choice for my comfort level. Everyone, and I do mean every person working, was kind, compassionate, patient, and so understanding. I left with a heavy heart over the loss of my little girl, but also light in spirit - knowing I made the right choice to come here. She's in a better place; pain-free. We were BOTH treated with dignity and respect, Situations such as this are heartbreaking. You need skilled AND compassionate people to help you. My heartfelt thanks to one and all. You saved us both :) There is absolutely such a thing as grounded angels.
