- PNPhoenix NoirMar 31, 20261.0Brought my dog in for a neuter and paid over 700$ after the "nessary" pre appointment where they literally just looked at his bits from a distance and looked in his ears and nose that was it. My friends and family with dogs are horrified by the way his sutures looked getting comments about how theres too many stitches and it looks botched. And topping it off about 4- 5 days now after his visit he is starting to vomit, and having bloody diarrhea to which the receptionists awnser was "surgery is a lot of stress on the body." I am a disabled individual who wanted to neuter my service dog. I do not have the funds after that to bring him to the ER vet because hes now sick after being in their care.

Some staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, but one veterinarian I dealt with was unnecessarily abrasive, which made asking questions uncomfortable. My biggest issue is transparency. Banfield heavily promotes its subscription-style wellness plans, but at this location I found it very hard to get clear, consistent explanations of what was actually included vs. what would still cost extra. I also felt pressured into add-on services and was told multiple “prerequisite” steps/additional expenses were required before getting the service I originally came for—without a clear medical explanation for why each step was necessary. If you go, get a written, itemized estimate upfront and ask for a written list of what your plan does/doesn’t cover before agreeing to anything.
- CLCrystal lailFeb 21, 20265.0I give all my thanks to this team. My chihuahua had parvo and they took extra good care of her and put her health needs their number one priority. After doing in-home care with IV fluids and medication she is now a thriving healthy puppy again.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
