I’ve used banfield for all of my animals growing up, now they don’t seem to care and I honestly don’t trust them with my dog. My dog had a ruptured anal gland three months ago, they told me to do monthly anal gland expressions. First time back was fine, second time I had my mom take her and they had no idea what her case was or anything about the rupture, just tried to take her for her third routine expression and they didn’t even put my dog on the schedule even though I called yesterday. Don’t trust them to even take her back considering the doctor had to do it last time. Will be transferring to another vet where hopefully they care about my dog or even write notes on her file and communicate so I can trust the other employees with her.

I highly recommend Banfield Pet Hospital in Cornelius. My dog, Aggie, receives excellent care there, she loves Dr. Dunkle and all the staff; and she’s always excited to go in and see them! This is a strong testament to the warm welcome given by Dr. Dunkle, Dr. Vasquez, and Dr. Blackmon; vet assistants Nancy (whom Aggie also adored), Kaitlyn, Rachel, Katelyn, Lexi, Keiran; practice manager Katie; and Caitlin, client services coordinator and Aggie’s new bestie, and Sarah CRC. Aggie truly lights up from their affection and I’ve seen other dogs wiggle and wag from the attention too! Aggie has seen Dr. Dunkle the most. He was recommended to us; we soon saw why he is beloved by owners, pets, and staff: Dr. Dunkle is calm, kind, and gentle; he demonstrates a keen intelligence and focused attention to details as he gathers information about symptoms and behaviors; he conducts examinations patiently and thoroughly; and he clearly explains his diagnoses and proposed treatments — Dr. Dunkle possesses all the qualities owners seek for their pet’s medical care. Many thanks go to Dr Dunkle! Much gratitude is given to Dr Vasquez too who I haven’t met in person but who took excellent care of Aggie as she performed her first semi-annual exam and dental cleaning. Aggie has also seen and was immediately drawn to Dr. Blackmon, Banfield’s newest veterinarian. We look forward to seeing her again! Worth mentioning is how inviting Banfield’s beautifully designed facility is with its spacious reception area and huge windows letting in natural light along two walls, and the larger than average exam rooms with big benches that can easily seat owner and pet/s. I know having ample space to move around helps soften any stress Aggie might be feeling. I also recommend Banfield’s Wellness Plans. Over the years our family has had four dogs enrolled in plans and found the benefits are many. In May I enrolled Aggie in the Senior Wellness Plan, she’s had a handful of office visits plus two six-month comprehensive exams since then. Banfield plans continue to save me and my children money, not only from the discounted services, but from the preventive care provided to our fur-babies.

There is a reason professionals are not recommending Banfield for care, but hands down would never recommend this location to anyone.

Our dog Nuggz is a big Bully but he is a sweetheart. Some vets shy away from him because of his size but the nurses and doctors are great with him at Banfield always friendly and helpful! Great Job! Thank You Nuggz DAD
