  Unfortunately l, I cannot recommend this vet to anyone and would encourage finding another vet. We had been clients for years, then today..we were turned away because they “are not an emergency clinic and need to find another place to go”. We called during businsss hours and were just a few blocks away—on their OWN WEBSITE….it says to bring your pets to them in case of an emergency during business hours. It was obvious they iuat wanted to go home on a Friday afternoon.

  This animal hospital took the best care of my chicken Laverne. She was attacked by a hawk, and we determined that she is going to make it hopefully with some pain medication and anti-antibiotics. I was lucky. They were super good with her, and the bird was very comfortable in their care other than when we were treating her wound. I highly recommend this veterinarian for birds. She looks sad in the photograph because she is in pain. She has a bit of an infection and an eye injury, but she’s not gonna be blind from it. She just is sad and pitiful. Hopefully she’ll turn around once the meds kick in.

  I have never been, so I don't know anything about them. What I do know is that when I search "Waxhaw Animal Hospital" I get a link for their page with that name as the link. Notice how it is sponsored... so paid for. (sponsored hit on left, actual company on right) The ACTUAL Waxhaw Animal Hospital where my dog goes is not a sponsored hit. So, good on this company for trying to use another company's name to their benefit and paying for the right to do so. Kind of a slimeball move. I don't like doing business with ethically questionable people. RESPONSE TO OWNER: What is there to discuss? You did something ethically questionable and I called you on it. And now you want to discuss? Hard pass. Passing this along to WAH to see if they have any legal recourse.

  I have been going to Providence Animal Hospital for several years now. This review is for the one near Trader Joes off Rea Rd, not the one in Waxhaw. Dr. Erika Lail is absolutely wonderful, so warm and caring. Our two dogs, bichons frises, are close to 14 yrs and have started to have age related issues. Each of the techs are alert to the issues I describe and handle each dog in a caring but firm way while assisting during examinations. Dr. Lail's examinations are extremely thorough. She has a very tender but efficient manner with each dog, making them relax a bit after their initial fear. Most importantly, Dr. Lail's explanation of any diagnosis is detailed but in verbiage that is easily understood. She takes her time to answer questions, I never feel rushed. Dr Lail's advice has always been spot on, and her recommendation for an ACL surgeon a couple of years ago was excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Erika Lail.

  I love Dr Lail. She is very knowledgeable and thorough. My dog was whining and we didn't know why. She diagnosed correctly to be in the neck. An X-ray showed two misplaced vertebrae. I was so thankful to find out the cause of our little baby's pain so we could help her.
