They were great with my cat. But the first appointment they didn’t have one of his shots in. I think they should have let me know before I drove out there. Then they made the appointment for me the next week. And it never went through. But she assured me it did. I waited for the confirmation and never got it. So I had to at the last minute schedule an appointment.

I paid for a vaccination package for my dog. One of the vaccines required that I come back in 4 weeks for a booster in order for the vaccine to be effective. 14 minutes before my follow-up appointment, they called to say they didn’t have any of that vaccine available, and had to reschedule for the following week. When I came to the rescheduled appointment, they told me I would have to pay extra for the booster shot. I asked why I would be getting charged again when I had already paid for the package and the booster was required as part of the package. They said that that’s just how it is and there’s nothing they could do about it. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. I would give zero stars if I could.

Disorganized and frustrating experience
I’ve now had two very poor experiences at this Vetco location, and I won’t be returning.
Most recently, I had two cats scheduled for their feline leukemia booster shots—appointments at 12:30 and 12:35. Due to Memorial Day weekend traffic and a full parking lot, we walked through the doors at exactly 12:35. At check-in, staff informed us they would only honor the 12:35 appointment and that the 12:30 appointment would need to be rescheduled. When we asked why, we were told it was due to a “recent change in policy,” though no details or documentation were provided. When we expressed concern, the staff member responded dismissively, saying, “What do you want me to do? That’s our policy.”
Both cats were in the same carrier and clearly intended to be seen together, but only one was given the vaccine. Despite refusing to treat the second cat, they still took both animals to the back room.
We were then told we’d have to wait until after their lunch break—from 1 to 2 p.m.—if we wanted the second cat to be seen. This meant sitting in the parking lot for over an hour. At the time, there were no other animals in the clinic, and only one additional pet came in during that hour.
This wasn’t our first issue. During a previous visit, we had a 2:00 p.m. appointment, but the staff didn’t even unlock the doors until 2:05. We checked in at that point, but it took them another 30 minutes to start seeing us, and the delay affected other scheduled appointments as well.
On both visits, the front desk staff seemed unfamiliar with their own check-in system and had trouble keeping appointment details straight. Despite our patience, we were met with a consistently disinterested and sometimes unprofessional attitude.
Another concern: pet owners are not allowed into the room where vaccines are administered, and the window is covered, so there is no way to observe or ensure your pet is being handled properly.
Between the poor communication, arbitrary enforcement of unclear policies, long wait times, and lack of transparency, I can’t recommend this clinic. We will be seeking care elsewhere.
