I truly believe Vetco and Dr. Shannon Raboin saved my baby’s life. During the week of Thanksgiving, my 3 year old dog Nola was diagnosed with pyometra, a life threatening uterine infection. She had lost 10 pounds, was withdrawn, had no appetite, and I knew in my heart something was wrong.
We were told she needed emergency surgery. Even though it was the day after the holidays, the Vetco team came in on their day off just to operate on her. That alone meant everything to me as a terrified dog mom. Dr. Raboin was compassionate, patient, and treated Nola like she was his own. I never once felt rushed or dismissed.
The vet later told us if we had waited any longer, she would not have made it through the weekend. Hearing that broke me, but knowing this team acted quickly and with so much care is something I will never forget. Seeing Nola afterward, still groggy from anesthesia but wagging and happy to see us, was a moment I will hold onto forever.
This experience was emotional, scary, and overwhelming, but Vetco made it bearable. Because of Dr. Raboin and his team, my girl is here, healed, running, and back to being herself. I am beyond grateful. If you are ever faced with an emergency and need a team that truly cares, this is the place you want your baby to be.
Thank you for giving me more time with my girl.

I brought my dog in for hind leg issues but received minimal diagnostic information. The vet prescribed painkillers despite no visible signs of pain, and prescribed gabapentin—a controlled substance requiring a human pharmacy. Walgreens was unable to fill the prescription due to authorization issues with the vet's DEA number, leaving me unable to obtain the medication.( They called the vet but she did not know her dea number) Additionally, staff failed to draw blood, citing dehydration(still should be possible), and couldn't examine his ears due to missing equipment. They could not find the tool. But they were friendly which is nice.

God bless Dr. Shahady and the staff here. My dog Meeko was very sick and Dr. Shahady and the staff literally brought him back to life. Meeko is a vibrant, lovable dog. And I’m not sure not if he would be here today without the care from this staff. They are the best.
