I use the Bandfield at the Sunset Hills location for my animals and they always do a great job. My dog needed a last minute vaccine before he could be boarded and they came through the same day. They treat them like I do, they are very caring.

Their wellness plan is all about the money and not for the care of the pet or owners. We used their wellness plan for 17 year for our dog. Unfortunately he passed today. Reached out and all they cared about was additional payment for the $85 we owed on the plan because we used the service more than we paid. It wasn’t like we were trying to cancel just because…..our pet passed away. 17 years of the wellness plan and their concern was $85. Thought the Banfield program cared about the pets but obviously money is WAY more important. If you cancel with Chewy they send you a card, flowers and show compassion. Not Banfield. Will never use their services for our future pets.

There are two other Banfield locations that are a lot closer to where I live, but I started going to this location because they always have in patient appointments. A couple years ago the one closest to me was only doing drop off appointments which I tried one time and when I went to pick my dog up she still hadn’t been seen which means she sat in a kennel for 9+ hours and was still not ready. While that might work for others, I personally didn’t like it because my dog Shadow has really bad anxiety which gets worse when she’s alone or around strangers and she’s never been in a kennel and after that appointment she was shaking and freaked out and took awhile for her to calm down so I started looking for other locations that didn’t have drop offs only and found to this one. Our first visit was a little rough only because Shadow was freaking out after her last experience at the other location, but the staff was great and really helped to make her feel comfortable and she was able to calm down especially when she realized I wasn’t leaving her there. All this happened a couple years ago, and even though other locations are now having in patient appointments again we continue to drive farther to come to the sunset hills location because of how much we like the staff. We had an appointment this past Friday because I was having some concerns and while having blood work done for what I was worried about they noticed another issue not related to why we were there. Dr. Nancy Wolfe Bay was amazing and I could tell she truly cared and wanted the best for Shadow. She gave me tons of information about each issue and made sure I understood everything and then she gave me multiple choices and suggestions on each problem so I could choose which one I liked or thought would work best. For an example when it came to the anxiety and panic attacks that have been getting worse lately she gave me two options one is a daily medication that will take time, but will help in the long run for daily anxiety or a situational meditation to give only when she’s having anxiety or when I know a head of time that a certain situation is going to cause stress/anxiety. For me the second option is best because when we’re home together Shadow is usually fine, if she’s alone for too long or when we go places is when she has problems especially now that she’s an older dog. We also found out while at that visit that Shadow is starting to get arthritis in her thighs and Dr. Wolfe Bay told me the best joint supplements to give her because there are tons of choices out there, but the two brands she recommended have only clean/pure ingredients for the issue where some others will add or dilute the ingredients you need. I know this is such a long and over explained review lol, but as someone who reads reviews before buying stuff or going certain places I wanted to give details on why I personally love this location and continue to go
