  Be careful getting guinea pigs here. I asked for a boy. The paper work said boy. I wanted 1 more for my other 2 boys. Couple months later. It ended up being a girl. I walked in and she was giving birth. She had 3. So now I have 6 guinea pigs. I had to google how to take care of the babies. I emailed them and no one said anything. You guys owe me 7 months worth of guinea pig child support.

  I placed an online delivery order for 2 pairs of dog boots for my dogs to wear in the ice and snow. When they arrived and I opened the bag, there were 2 boxes - one was mangled and put back together with about a half a roll of packing tape and the other also taped closed. When I opened the boxes the boots inside were dirty, scuffed and covered in hair and lint. I paid $30 for a pair of disgusting gross USED dog boots that this store got returned to them and they turned around and sold them again to me as brand new. I'm going to return both pair of these USED dog boots but I'm still out the $8.00 tip I gave the delivery driver which is absolute BS! This PetCo SUCKS and I will absolutely not be giving them my business again.

  My dog has now gotten sick twice after being groomed at this Petco location. Within 24 hours of his grooming, he lost interest in food and toys, spiked a 106° fever, followed by itchy, flaky skin. The first time, we chalked it up to the deshedding treatment since it was the first time he’d ever had one. Before his second grooming, we made a point to explain what happened and were assured they’d use a gentle rubber brush instead. I don’t doubt that they did, but he still had the same reaction afterward. At this point, our vet believes this is very likely an allergic reaction. The most frustrating part has been how unhelpful the grooming staff have been in trying to figure out what’s causing it. When our vet told us to call and ask for a rundown of the services and products used, I was basically shut down with “well, we told you we’d use the rubber brush,” and they refused to tell me what soap was used or what ingredients were in it. My partner had already called earlier that day asking the same thing and was met with the same defensiveness- no brand name, no ingredient list. We’ve tried very hard to approach this in a calm, non-accusatory way, but after multiple emergency vet visits and a lot of money spent trying to help our baby, we deserve some transparency. I just want answers and better communication when a pet’s health is clearly being affected. This experience has definitely made us reconsider where we take our animals for grooming.
