- LELisa EnglishJan 24, 20261.0I brought my three healthy, indoor-only cats (never been outside) to Banfield for sedation grooming and a rabies vaccine and left feeling completely taken advantage of. Despite no symptoms or risk factors, they were charged for extensive and unnecessary lab work, blood panels, urinalysis, parasite testing, deworming, and multiple “comprehensive” exams. None of which were clearly explained as optional or medically necessary for indoor cats who never set foot outside. The bill was over $1,450 out of pocket, on top of a $160/month wellness plan I’d already been paying for months. This experience felt corporate, protocol-driven, and upsell-focused, not individualized veterinary care. The doctors and staff were kind, but the system itself feels dirty and exploitative. If you have indoor cats, ask very hard questions — or go somewhere non-corporate.

- DDDavidDec 3, 20255.0So the staff here is absolutely amazing. I took my dog in pretty much knowing that I was gonna have to put him down. They gave me a treatment option, but I declined. They did not try to push for me to get the stuff done to figure out what was wrong. They even told me after the fact that they think I made the right decision because no matter what we figured out, it was not gonna be good news for Jax the vet and the ladies working under her treated my dog as if it was their own. It was a very difficult time for me and they just went the extra mile to do things that they did not have to do and I know a lot of other places would not have, so I fully recommend this place and the pricing was fair. Once again, the staff and the security there get 10 stars

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
