He is a very nervous and reactive dog and Dr. Brenna and the staff are very patient with him. Recently we had an issue with our dog ingesting something dangerous. When I called they gave me step by step directions and we were able to ensure he was ok. They are the greatest!!!!

- LYLauren YoffieOct 22, 20255.0I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Stephen Curry from Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital! He just moved to STL in March and is FANTASTIC! He is thorough (explains things really well and takes a lot of time with his patients), knowledgeable, honest (only does necessary tests), shows upfront what you'll be paying for everything so there is no sticker shock at checkout, and patient (came out with me personally when our dog wouldn't give a urine sample to get it). Louie was peeing every hour or two, drinking water non-stop, lost 2 pounds, and peeing all over the house, so Dad said he's sick and we brought him to the vet today. Dr. Stephen Curry said Louie most likely has Cushing's disease and developed secondary diabetes. He definitely has diabetes, and we're getting him tested next Wednesday to see if he has Cushing's disease (which makes it a lot harder to treat if he has both). Louie started on insulin today (3.5 units); we have to give him a shot of insulin 30 minutes after eating breakfast and 30 minutes after eating dinner exactly 12 hours apart at the same time each day (9am and 9pm). After next Wednesday, we will bring Louie to the vet weekly for probably 6-8 weeks so they can give him a blood test to perfect his insulin dose. Lauren was INCREDIBLY patient in teaching my dad and I how to properly dose Louie's insulin and inject it. We NEVER felt rushed and ALWAYS felt like Louie was receiving top notch care, and we were getting EXCEPTIONAL service. AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!! I HIGHLY recommend!
