- DSD SOct 31, 20251.0I’d give -5 stars if I could! I made an online purchase for in store pickup of a “smart” pet feeder. I got home (45 minutes away) and discovered the thing was USED and DIRTY! First of all, selling a USED product as new is unacceptable. BUT EVEN WORSE… The feeder was DIRTY!! Black pet hairs all over the outside and inside of the device (seriously how do you get pet hair INSIDE the food container portion?), the “stainless steel” food dish was DIRTY and UNWASHED, the base of the device was all scratched up. I figured something was off when this “new” item had a charger that was just thrown in the box, and there were no manuals/setup instructions at all (I’m not stupid, setup is just an app, but still…) If it wasn’t for a fact I bought this as quick replacement for another pet feeder that went out this morning, and that I live 45 minutes away, and that nobody else within driving distance had one in stock, I would be returning the item. As it is, I am stuck waiting for a resolution from Petco customer service, since I really don’t have much of a choice but to spend time deep cleaning the thing to use it, which makes replacement pointless. I’m mad that I got sold a “new” item and was given a clearly used item. I bet if they had shipped this USED and DIRTY item back to the warehouse like they were supposed to, they would have received a NEW and CLEAN one to put on the shelf! Clearly whoever at this store that was responsible for returns didn’t properly check the item, and whoever was responsible for marking it sellable didn’t do their job either. As gross as the whole thing is, I’d hate to see the homes of whoever let this thing be returned and whoever thought this thing was OK to be resold. Shame on this Petco location!

Tiffany always goes the extra mile and they treat every customer like VIPs you guys rock.
