- CRCarlee Robertson4 days ago1.0We have boarded our two cats with Elkhound since coming to the area in June of 2024. This last visit they stayed Friday-Monday. I picked them up and when I returned home our younger cat had something dried to her back and tail. I called to ask if she had thrown up or something during her stay. The front desk then informed me she had diarrhea while there and no one saw that it was dried into her fur or cleaned her off. I canceled future boardings and then was called back and told that the staff was saying she had nothing on her when there I promptly emailed a photo to them where it was clearly visible she had dried diarrhea on her (no one replied to this email). Never once did anyone say sorry or that it shouldn’t have occurred. No one even informed me she had been having diarrhea until I called and asked them directly. The staff claimed they may not have seen it since I picked them up in the morning before things started, but when I picked them up I asked if they had received medication( which was given by hand before food) and food and was told yes they had. This shouldn’t have occurred and was not handled properly.

Bill was very informative upon pick up showing us how to keep up the training. I loved the videos. We even brought her back to get help with her collar. Highly recommend.
