  The fish were not clean & several of the Saltwater Fish had ick. The staff were friendly but the fish are not taken care of properly.

  The place is over priced for most of the items. They need to find a better way to compete if they want to stay in business. Customer service is bland, they don't go out there way to help you. I went for the puppy clothes and even those was pricey.

  I went in today to buy a canister filter to replace my old one. There was multiple employees at the register but they had a line. The only employee that was out in the store was shelli. I asked her if she could help me with a canister filter and she pointed me to the aisle that the filters are in and said that's all they had and that there is nothing in the back. I already know that they keep these in the back because of the high price point but she would not listen to me. I proceeded to go stand in line to ask at the register and the employees up there were absolutely wonderful. Vicki helped me at the register and a tall gentleman went to the back to get the item. It just blows my mind that someone working in retail wouldn't even help a customer trying to spend $300 in their store. This location is the worst petco in the kc metro, and sadly the closest to my house. I won't even buy pets from this location because the building is so disgusting as are the enclosures. 2 stars im giving is 100% because Vicki did save my visit!
