The only kennel my dog can’t escape—and it’s safe! He was able to bend, bite, chew through everything we tried—a wire dog crate, a plastic dog carrier, and a supposedly high anxiety “indestructible” thick metal bar (which we found out was actually hollow and easy for my dog to bite and bend) kennel. Before we were about to spend a small fortune on an Impact-brand crate, a friend told us about KBC Kennel. They build affordable, safe kennels for police dogs, competition dogs and for your pets at an affordable price. Much much less than Impact crates. I like that they are safe because dogs can’t hurt themselves like with wire/metal kennels. These crates saved my marriage lol! We have a medium collapsible and a large collapsible kennel. They will even sell you replacement parts, such as the door my dog continues to try to chew and scratch his way through. KBC has a customer for life with us!

Belgian Mal Met his match
Yogi is a 1 year old Belgian Malinois - Siberian Husky mix that weighs 70 lbs. He is extremely destructive and smart. He has eaten 2 couches, 2 office chairs, queen size mattress, door knobs, walls, sheet rock, shoes, carpet, loves dirty laundry and so many headsets. If he can get it in his mouth it will be eaten. Just cause he didn’t get to it today doesn’t mean it’s not on the list. Nothing keeps this dog in expect his KBC Kennel.
We got standard kennel XL Black with circles on top for stacking. We did have an eager 3 weeks before it shipped (building time) but well worth the wait. It’s heavy enough he can’t move it or eat it. Best $700 I’ve spent.
Plan on getting a 2nd kennel for our dog Luna who is malamute - Siberian husky.
We have a few superficial scratches in the door from where yogi has tried to get out but that’s it. It’s held together. Anything after a few days is a miracle for him being kept in.
Thank you to KBC Team.

Drove an hour and a half each way to have my entire vehicle measured for crates and never got a call back or estimate.
I called to remind but still got nothing.
Seems to be a great product and all my friends are happy with theirs.

I purchased the large breakdown kennel and it was exactly what I was looking for! Top quality material which keeps my Belgian Malinois safe and sound when riding around. I have a Chevy Tahoe and the Large size fits perfectly in my truck (I can still have my back seat up in normal position as well).
I did have a slight issue with the handle malfunctioning however KBC Kennels worked with me to have a replacement ASAP (couldn't have been an easier process). I would strongly advise this product and will be purchasing a second unit in the future when we get another dog.
Frequently Asked Questions About KBC Kennels & Dog Sports
Are your kennels airline approved?
Our standard kennels, when equipped with the flight rail accessory, meet IATA standards. However, airline requirements can vary. We strongly recommend contacting your specific airline and any connecting carriers to confirm their individual kennel requirements before travel. Our breakdown kennels do not comply with IATA guidelines for air travel, as collapsible crates are generally not permitted for animal transport.
How long will it take to get my kennel?
Our kennels are custom-made to order. Production time varies based on our current workload and material availability. Shipping time depends on the carrier and shipping option you select. If you need your kennel sooner than our typical production time, please contact us before purchasing to discuss rush options, which may incur additional charges.
Are your kennels noisy when used for transport in a vehicle?
To minimize noise during transport, all our kennels now come standard with adjustable anti-rattle tabs. These can be fine-tuned using an allen wrench to reduce any rattling caused by the kennel door's expansion and contraction. This feature can also be installed on some older models; please contact us for purchase information.
Are KBC kennels crash tested?
While our kennels have not undergone official crash testing, we conduct rigorous in-house impact and strength tests. Current crash testing for kennels only assesses cargo containment, not pet survivability. We're awaiting more comprehensive testing methods that will provide data on pet safety during impacts. Our focus remains on producing highly durable kennels for various uses.
Can you guarantee my dog won't escape?
While we cannot provide an absolute guarantee against escape, our standard kennels are designed to be highly secure. We have no reported escapes from our standard models and only rare instances of determined chewers creating holes over extended periods. Our kennels are engineered to be among the most durable on the market, with a strong track record of containing known escape artists.
Do you offer the breakdown kennels in XL size or custom sizes?
Currently, our breakdown kennels are available in small, medium, and large sizes. We are in the research and development phase for an XL size, but it is not available at present. We hope to offer this option in the future.
Do you make a kennel x size or for x vehicle?
Yes, we offer custom kennel solutions for all vehicle types and sizes. To begin the process of ordering a custom kennel, please submit a custom quote form through the 'Contact us' section on our website.
What are your kennels made of?
Our kennels are constructed from high density polyethylene (HDPE), a durable, impact-resistant plastic. This material is UV-stable and meets FDA standards for sanitary surfaces, ensuring both longevity and hygiene for your pet.
How strong are your kennels?
Our kennels are engineered for exceptional strength. The structure can withstand over 1000 pounds of vertical load, and the door is designed to resist more than 1000 pounds of force, ensuring robust containment and protection.
What size kennel should I purchase for my dog?
Kennel size selection is often a matter of personal preference and your dog's specific needs. We recommend choosing a size comparable to what you currently use for your dog. Some animal specialists suggest that the safest kennel size allows the dog to enter, turn around, and lie down comfortably. For specific recommendations, please consult with your veterinarian or animal care professional.
Are your kennels approved for airline travel?
Our standard kennels meet IATA standards when equipped with the flight rail accessory, but airline requirements vary. We recommend confirming with your airline before travel. Our breakdown kennels do not comply with IATA guidelines.
How long does it take to receive a custom kennel?
Kennels are custom-made; production time depends on workload and material availability. Shipping time varies by carrier and option. Contact us for rush orders, which may cost extra.
Do your kennels reduce noise during vehicle transport?
Yes, all our kennels now include adjustable anti-rattle tabs to minimize door rattling. This feature can also be added to some older models.
Are KBC kennels crash tested for pet safety?
Our kennels undergo rigorous in-house strength testing but not official crash testing, which currently focuses on cargo containment rather than pet safety.
Can you guarantee that my dog won't escape from your kennels?
While we cannot guarantee absolute escape prevention, our kennels are highly secure with no reported escapes and are among the most durable available.
Do you offer breakdown kennels in extra-large or custom sizes?
Breakdown kennels are currently available only in small, medium, and large. An XL size is in development but not yet available.
Can you make a kennel customized for my specific vehicle?
Yes, we provide custom kennel solutions for all vehicle types. To order, please submit a custom quote via our 'Contact us' page.
