My husband brought my cat in the very next day after she had been hiding, not grooming herself, and refusing to eat for days. Unlike the previous location, the staff here acted with urgency, confidence, and compassion. They were able to draw blood immediately with no issues and did not treat my cat as “too difficult” or unsafe to handle. The difference in professionalism and competence was night and day. The team clearly knew how to work with cats, communicated what they were doing, and took my concerns seriously. There was no suggestion of delaying care or sending a sick cat home without proper diagnostics. Most importantly, I felt like my cat’s health actually mattered here. They didn’t make the situation harder or more stressful than it already was. If you’re deciding between Banfield locations, I highly recommend St. Louis Park. Knocked one star for having to pay two office visits even though banfield Edina did not complete their exam.

Secondly, Dr. Running and her assistant were so easygoing and wonderful to work with. They never treated my cat like a problem, and they made me feel genuinely comfortable. I felt safe bringing up any concerns about my cat without fear of judgment, and I could ask any questions no matter how small or silly they might’ve sounded. Last but not least, Dr. Running is extremely thorough and reassuring. I had a great experience with her the very first time we met, which is why I felt confident choosing her as my cat’s veterinarian. I truly trust her and this Banfield location to care for my cat, and I’m so grateful to have found such an amazing team. Thank you!

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
