I took my 18 month old cat in to get her second distemper shot. My cat is very temperamental and was very unhappy getting a shot. They did such a good job with a cat who was very angry. I felt really bad cuz she got one of the ladies with her claws. I'm very happy that I took her her. First visit is free and I didn't even have to show a coupon. They pulled in the coupon automatically. All I had to pay for was 40 bucks for the vaccine

Our first experience here with Dr. Wang was great. You can tell he really cares and listens to your concerns. The visit didn't feel rushed and we were not brought up any unnecessary tests or purchases. The price is reasonable especially the wellness plan. I actually brought up the interest in the plan. I love the fact that Dr. Wang took action right away with Lucy and explained very thoroughly the results of her tests. We have been to two different vet clinics prior and both experiences at the other places did not think Lucy's bloodwork was a concern, basically just handed medicine and said to have her eat more red meat... Dr. Wang went above and beyond to find the root cause of Lucy's problem and then referred us to a specialist who we are now seeing soon! Honestly, if we didn't go here as another opinion, who knows what condition our Lucy would be in. She's improving some and I thank this team so much for not ignoring any signs from our girl. Thank you so much Richfield Banfield!

I’ve always typically had really good experiences with Banfield, however, I don’t believe I’ll be coming back to this specific location. I dropped off my dog today, a Staffordshire terrier (pitbull), who was visibly very anxious. Back story, my dog was used in dog fighting as a puppy before we rescued him, and he is now 12 going on 13 in a house with another dog, young child and cat and easily the best behaved animal in our house. I made this known to the veterinary technician checking us in, and she let us know that they would keep my dog and I could pick him up later in the day (totally fine, they apparently lost my appointment after I used the online scheduler, they told me this frequently doesn’t work). After I let her know about my dogs past as a puppy, she went on to tell me that “this breed is known for being aggressive” and “ it’s just in their genetics, it doesn’t matter if they’ve been exposed to something bad in the past or had a bad experience, this breed is just naturally aggressive”. Anyone who owns a pitbull knows the world looks at them a little bit differently, and it was really really disheartening to hear a veterinary technician blame pits as a whole (a breed known as nanny dogs). I’ve always advocated for how great pitbull’s are, and how gentle they can be. I am also a firm believer and there’s no bad breeds just bad owners, and that was true with my dogs case before we rescued him, and aside from being terrified of other dogs and extremely anxious because of his past, with proper introductions to other animals, he’s quite literally the perfect, lazy, house dog. If you’ve made it this far and you have a pitbull or bully breed, I highly suggest you go to a different Banfield location. I’ve been to other vets before that don’t blame my dog for being a pitbull or his traumatic past. Really sad to see a professional stereotype him like this, shame on you, you should know better.
