Dr Brosky is always so pleasant and very thorough with our pets, we really appreciate having him care for our furbabies. The staff are very friendly and caring as well.

I had a very concerning experience at Banfield in Edina and would not recommend this location for urgent or serious pet care.
I brought my cat in because she had been hiding, not grooming herself, and refusing to eat for several days. These are clearly signs that something was wrong.
The staff attempted bloodwork for maybe three minutes before giving up and telling me she was “too riled up” and it wasn’t safe to proceed. Instead of properly handling the situation, sedating her, or using appropriate restraint techniques, they sent us home with calming medication and told me to sprinkle it on her food and come back in five days.
The problem? She wasn’t eating at all. That would have meant potentially letting my cat go without food for up to eight days, which is absolutely unacceptable and dangerous. It is literally their job to safely handle animals and obtain necessary diagnostics when a pet is sick.
To make matters worse, they said I would need to pay for this office visit AND another full office visit for the blood draw later (rather than just paying for the bloodwork) despite the fact that they failed to complete the exam.
The next day, I took my cat to a different Banfield location in St. Louis Park, and they drew blood immediately with no issues. They even trimmed her nails! Clearly, this was not a problem with my cat, it was incompetence at the Edina location.
We should never have been charged for two visits because of their inability to perform basic veterinary care, and no vet should ever suggest a plan that risks a pet going that long without food.
If you care about your pet’s health, I strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Horrible. Made appointment for urgent matter, then get a call that they cancelled us for no reason and doctor wouldn’t see us. Don’t go here

I had been coming here for a couple months after I adopted my dog, and we’d be struggling with incontinence issues for a while. Prescribed a med for it without looking at her rear end, med didn’t work, and they wanted to try something stronger. I took her to another vet and they found the physical issue within a minute of doing an exam, and was a fraction of the cost. Don’t spend your money here when it can go a lot further at smaller vet clinics that give better care.

If I could give negative stats stars, I absolutely would. The staff at this location is beyond words. The level of incompetency is astounding, to say the least. Their lack of communication is disgustingly frustrating. As a pet owner I am appalled at their level of professionalism, or lack thereof. If you are able to choose a different location, I highly recommend doing so to save your fur baby the trauma of this facility.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
