NOT GO HERE!!!!!!‼️🚨‼️
We have used Banfield for our 9 yr old dog since 2017. We’ve never had an issue and have always been happy with them until probably the last 6 months or so. They’re always closed, their care has become mediocre and basic at best. A couple months ago we had an appointment and when we arrived there was a note on the door saying they were closed and to call the next day to reschedule our appointment. Ridiculous, yes but we do realize things happen….if ONLY that had been the one and only time that happened, that would be understandable. This has happened repeatedly since then, and last week our baby had to have a tumor removed from her shoulder that was cancerous. Did the surgery, and when we picked her up I was appalled at how the wound looked. It looked like a hack job. Two days later some of the stitches broke after following the instructions from the vet. We took her back in, they said they tried to staple it but that it’s now infected and they brought her back in the room to us with an open wound and some antibiotics. I was horrified, and only after some push back did the doctor say, “we can put some more stitches in and see how that works” so that was what we opted for because obviously I didn’t want to bring her home with an OPEN wound, cut, whatever, with no protection. Doctor wanted to see her again Monday, but the receptionist scheduled our appointment for tomorrow night instead….okay 🥴🤷🏼♀️ over the weekend it appears the stitches broke again, also on Friday when we went in for the broken stitches, we were told to call Monday and see about getting her more pain meds and sedatives to help restrict her movement. After calling all morning and getting the voicemail, NOW the voicemail is saying they are closed today. 🥴 ( not to mention we were told Friday that that office is closing next month and we would have to go to Rochester or Southfield office after that) No thanks. I’m so disappointed in this place. We are at our wits end with Banfield 😑 Seems as if since, they’re closing that location they dont care about their patients!!!! Only money!!!

Love the Waterford location but rating 1 star for closing it. The stupidity of thinking I’m
Driving to Southfield is ridiculous. I will be ending our plan.

I took my doggie in for the "first exam free" coupon I got in an email. I just wanted her to get a look over and see how her health was. The lady at the front was very polite as well as knowledgeable.
The vet tech came in took my dog's (Lucy) information, asked about any concerns and took Lucy back to see the Veterinarian. She was very nice and thorough.
The Vet came in and explained somethings, gave me some good information about things to do to make sure Lucy stays healthy. He was also very nice and seemed to genuinely care about my furfriend.
I would (and will) recommend this place to everyone. Thank you Banfield.

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
