- SSskyzawaNov 8, 20251.0Don’t get me wrong, the inside of this petco is beautiful. There’s beautiful animals and the selection is great especially with the prices! But i cannot find it in my heart to give this location more than one star due to what I saw when I went in today around 3pm. There were cages lined up with cats who were all shaking, in the corners of the cages, lying in their litter box, all just for show to be adopted. I guess I can understand the cats being scared being in a new unfamiliar area, but what made my heart shatter and make my blood boil was seeing how these ladies handled the cats. She had a carrier on the floor with the door facing up, and she grabbed the adult cat by the neck and shoved it in the carrier with absolutely no compassion at all. She then grabbed another adult cat and shoved her in it as well. Not only that, but when packing up the cages she was extremely loud folding them and the cats were petrified over it. These cats were clearly scared for their safety, scared of the ladies from what I saw, and I just feel awful about it. I understand that the ladies might not be from petco but I don’t think petco should allow this. I wouldn’t recommend going here if this is the type of thing they support.

The employees kept scolding her about how she doesn't love the cat, she doesn't care and is selfish, and berating her. Despite her crying and telling her there is no other option. She kept the cat for nearly two years (it has been an extremely challenging cat), then my grandfather received an extremely difficult and life altering diagnosis. The health of our family comes first. The fact that these employees made, and kept making these comments while having ZERO knowledge of the situation shows everything. This was inexcusable.
