Will say that one employee has always been kind to me, but other employees have on multiple occasion just flat out not listened to me. I went out of my way to ask about the times/cost for cat teeth cleaning, thinking I would have been bringing him in for that, only to discover that the person "must have misunderstood me" over the phone when I set it up. Additionally, my cat has a history of crystals in his bladder as well as UTIs, so when I bring him in it's pretty routine of us to get that checked. After getting a sample tested, I got a call at the end of the day stating they indeed found crystals in my cat's urine, but needed to send a sample to the lab, which had a "better microscope" and could determine which kind of crystals they were and what medication would be best to tackle these specific crystals. It was then told to me I'd need to come in to pay for them to be able to ship off the remaining part of his urine sample that they just so happened to still have the next morning (the employee on the phone was able to get me their payment line to pay for it). Otherwise the sample would expire and he'd need to come in again. I paid and then called them to confirm his sample could be added to the transport. The next sample review was supposed to take "2–3 days" to get back to me. Well. Monday – Wednesday, I heard nothing. Thursday I called and was told to expect a response by end of day. Nothing. Friday I called and was told to expect a response by EOD. Nothing. Saturday I called and was told to expect a response by EOD. I told them I had been told that three times now. The employee on the phone said that "things get hectic so they sometimes can't call," but it's not like I'm not also a paying customer? Thankfully, they actually did call me by EOD! It only took them a week. The verdict? There was a note that they LOST my cat's urine sample. I'd need to come back in ("at no extra charge") to have them get another sample. After a week of no information that I had to fight for and heading into the week before I take my cat out of state with me. This isn't the first time I've felt like this Banfield legitimately con me out of money; other times in the past I was told to pay for specific things and given conflicting info on what it was later, leading me to believe that they were charging me for more expensive things while only doing the simpler actions. In the past, they've called me to get permission to do more extensive testing from the get go (at a higher cost) due to my cat's record stating his repeated urinary issues. Why was I not only charged an additional fee for his sample to be sent for more extensive/detailed check when it should have already been in his record to do so, such that less time and money would be wasted? I won't be going back to this Banfield for the foreseeable future; prices are wild, their insurance options are not conducive to saving clients money, and the service is only good sometimes. This recent experience was also filled with them really trying to shill their plans to me, which was a distraction during the appointment where I'm trying to get my cat taken care of. I've had overall pleasant experiences here, and know that others likely can get great service here, but these last few experiences have soured my opinion of this location.

The best veterinarian we have ever had. Banfield was our provider for the first four years of our dog’s life. We thought they were pricey so we decided to find other care. That was the worst decision we ever made. We are back and we will for ever only use Banfield.
