I love Banfield. I've been with them 10 years now and can't say enough about them. They get you right in and all their Vets and techs are awesome.

We have been taking our dog here Sadie for 8 years and have always loved it. We love the monthly pet plan. We have been seeing Dr Bean lately - I’ve loved all of the vets and the staff! We even drive from out of town now that we’ve moved. Your pet will be loved and well taken care of here.

Great vets BUT OWP buyers beware. I had my two senior dogs enrolled in OWP plans here. Dr Hetrick & Dr. Bean are wonderful vets- knowledgeable, compassionate, and professional--I'd give them both 5 stars. However, Banfield as a corporation is the problem. Staff struggle with their computer system constantly and more time is required by staff to enter things in the system than with patients or their owners. (I even mentioned this directly to the regional director that was visiting who also managed to delay my pet's appointment because she called a staff meeting). Additionally the time you have to spend on an appointment whether it's a drop off or in room is a minimum of an hour to 3 hours. The clinic is understaffed at all levels. Not sure if its corporate cuts or other reasons, but it affects services. When my dog who was still on an OWP plan passed away I was shocked to be told I had to pay off her plan despite her death. (She passed at home with no services from Banfield). OWP isn't worth it. You're better off paying for a good pet insurance policy and you'll pay less in the long run at a locally run clinic. Banfield as a corporation doesn't care about animals, pet owners, or their own staff. The only thing they value is your money.

It feels like corporate is tightening their belts in order to increase profitability and it shows. I've been going to this Banfield since it opened and it wasn't like this until a few years ago. There is one doctor at this location who is a superhero and I wish I could rate them separately. Everything else here is a disaster. They're often closed randomly throughout the week (and on weekends), even during their posted business hours, which makes it difficult to get prescriptions. Staff, especially the front desk, communicates poorly and doesn't follow-up on anything. Their appointments are very limited with little flexibility and long wait times. The whole thing stinks of too few people who are being forced to do too much work.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
