I want to say thank you to Banfield Pet Hospital on Haggerty (just north of 6 Mile) for the wonderful care they have always given our pets, Milo and Ellie. This review is long overdue because Milo, our long-haired chihuahua with the temperament of an easy-going labrador, went to Doggy Heaven in late July. Milo was best friends with Ellie, our sweet and ever so humble French Papillon, who looked up to Milo for moral support and reassurance. For the longest time the two lived their absolute best lives, always excited and happy about every part of their day. Milo was indeed the food hog; he quietly and faithfully kept a mental inventory of the fridge’s contents, in addition to accurately assessing the room for the weakest human link whom he knew would ultimately give him his next treat. Ellie, on the other hand, was the flighty, high-energy girl, who loved her walks, sniffing every rock she passed and somehow never failing to mark each one with her scent. She was a great watchdog who loved to keep an eye on passers-by so she could bark and feign toughness in her domain. She loved other dogs, especially Daisy and Ginger who lived next door. Milo and Ellie were always together, best friends who never failed to give each other moral support. Eventually though, a couple of years ago Milo started to slow down with some concerning health issues and we found ourselves making frequent visits to Banfield Pet Hospital. Everyone, from the receptionists to the technicians to the vets, was always so kind, helpful and thorough. Thankfully, we had our Banfield pet plans for both dogs, which definitely helped offset some of the costs. In addition, all the vets were always wonderful in helping us advocate for our pets, while also being mindful of our need to make the most cost effective decisions for our aging pets. Milo was old but still happy enough, and we weren’t quite ready to say goodbye to our boy. Dr. Schwarb was especially sensitive in helping us navigate our way through difficult times. He always helped us make the best possible decisions for our great boy, Milo. Eventually, in late July, the time did come when we knew it was okay to say goodbye to Milo. He was almost 15 years old. He had lived a great life, his very best life. It was okay to let him go. Ellie is still with us but, at almost 14, she too is starting to slow down. She still loves her life and eagerly goes for her walks. Right now, though, she is at Banfield Pet Hospital because she has been unwell for the past week. We know everyone is taking great care of her there. The receptionists and technicians, who are always so helpful, were on point again today. I was so very impressed by the detailed and extremely thorough history Terri took this morning. Thank you for your concern and thoroughness. An hour or two later I received a call from Dr. Schwarb. She was equally thorough and did an excellent job explaining Ellie’s test results and how best to proceed. Thank you for your kindness and compassion. Hopefully Ellie will be okay. We are doing our best for her and we know she is in the best of hands at Banfield Pet Hospital. We are always very grateful to everyone at Banfield Pet Hospital for their kindness and the great care they always provide the animals who visit them. Thank you for all you do. The Sheehan Family

Optimum wellness plan is the best insurance coverage plan ever. We vaccinated our puppy and it was all covered in the plan and there virtual assistant program is the best and the vet is available 24/7 virtually.

I really like Banfield in Northville. Dr. Robert Schwarb and his staff are amazing! My last visit there a couple days ago to go over some concerns with my pet I was seen by Dr. Robert Schwarb who’s the main veterinarian at this location and he was very friendly and helpful as well as extremely knowledgeable….he took the time to answer all my questions and addressed my concerns….i love the fact that they’re open 7 days a week and they always answer their phones unlike some places I’ve dealt with in the past, and the staff there is very nice and they always call afterwards to check on my pet and to see if I had any issues or concerns. The monthly membership is a pretty good value based on what you get….i find it more cost effective rather than going to a different veterinarian and paying for office visits every time and for each service individually….overall very happy with these guys and would highly recommend! 5 ⭐️
