  I highly recommend At Whits End Dog Training! First and foremost, Candace made scheduling extremely easy. Her response time and flexibility with my schedule made everything run smoothly. Matt was a phenomenal trainer for my dog, Rue. She’s a Great Dane/Cane Corso mix that pulled excessively when leash walking and had anxiety/reactiveness when meeting new people and other dogs. We did 6 training sessions using an eCollar which worked wonders. My girl is now much more confident in herself and me as her owner when encountering new people and dogs. Plus I can’t express how happy I am that our walks are actually enjoyable! Also a quick shout out to Bacon & Toast leash company. I now use the 'Echo' slip lead. It’s a durable leash that allows me to have great control of my dog.

  I was very skeptical at first but Matt was great and we saw great results with our dog. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs dog training

  Matt was a fantastic trainer that helped us train our girl, Miley. My wife and I struggled with leash pulling, recall, and basic commands with Miley. We did six lessons with Matt, starting from the basics and working our way up to the e-collar. We cannot believe how much the lessons helped. Miley listens to us without question now, and we can even do off leash walks and playing fetch in the park - something we never thought we could do with Miley. It obviously was a lot of work on our own time between the lessons working with Miley, but Matt provided the groundwork and teaching to help us. Cannot say enough good things! It’s so refreshing being able to trust Miley off leash and have her listen to us. Thanks, Matt and At Whits End!

  Our 6yr old Pit mix, Turbo, started having some major anxiety issues after my older 2 dogs passed. He never really did listen, had poor manners and was incredibly stubborn. I would avoid walks, delivery people, people walking by the house, etc because he would be barking and running around like crazy. He went to AWE for a 15 day Board and Train and he’s like a new dog. I finally feel that I have control of him and am comfortable taking him for walks - even out in public! Matt and Candice were amazing to work with, from my initial call to our last training session. Not only does he train the dog, he trains the family. Matt was very patient with us (me especially) as he taught us to navigate working with Turbo properly. My relationship with Turbo has evolved so much, he actually looks to me for direction and respects me now. I could not recommend them more.

  I can’t say enough good things about our experience with At Whits End. From the very beginning, Candance made scheduling our training sessions a breeze—she was responsive, flexible, and incredibly organized, which made the whole process stress-free. Matt is a phenomenal dog trainer. He took the time to understand Stella’s personality and the specific challenges we were facing, especially her reactivity around other dogs. His approach was calm, patient, and tailored to Stella’s needs. He provided clear directions and actionable steps to practice between sessions. After working with Matt, Stella is like a different dog. She’s noticeably more relaxed and confident when we encounter other dogs, and walks have become enjoyable instead of stressful. If you’re looking for a trainer who truly cares and delivers results, Matt is your guy. Highly recommend!
