  I was excited to visit after adopting a cat from Michigan Humane, especially since I received a flyer for the “Share the Love” program that advertised up to $100 in free goods for new pet owners. When I arrived, I made a point to speak with staff right away to confirm the details of the promotion. The employee at the counter even checked with her manager and told me that I could select up to three products within the price limit and add any items to my bag for the offer. I even asked whether a scratching post would be included, and she said yes. Based on that information, I spent time carefully choosing the three items that I thought would be most useful for my new cat. However, when I got to the register, I was told that the offer was actually limited to three specific food items chosen by staff, and that the items I selected would not qualify. I truly appreciate that this business participates in programs that support new pet owners, and the staff I interacted with were polite and friendly throughout. That said, the experience was frustrating because I relied on information that was confirmed for me ahead of time, and ended up spending over 30 minutes shopping under the wrong assumptions. I rated two stars instead of one because of the kindness of the staff, but I do think the promotion details need to be communicated much more clearly. The marketing materials and in-store guidance should spell out exactly what items qualify so customers can make informed decisions and avoid confusion. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would be hesitant to recommend this store.

  I love this store so much, they are locally owned and I feel like I get such personal service every time I need something for my dogs. They know so much about nutrition and it is so helpful.

  We do all of our dog food shopping here! They carry the best products and our Great Danes loving to stop in for a visit (even if they act a little shy)
